The food was pretty good. I like the peanuts we got upon arriving. The takoyaki was hot and delicious, sushi fresh, and teriyaki was good too. I liked the salad the teriyaki came with as well. The only thing I did not like was that the teriyaki portion was very small. After all of that food, I was still kind of hungry when I left. The staff were also very kind and quick.

Cozy neighborhood sushi restaurant that also serves cooked items. The sushi is good quality and value – I ordered the chirashi and the fish was generous with a generous amount of tobiko on top of the rice. I was also impressed by the pickled ginger – I believe it’s housemade. The mackerel sushi is also very good. The service is super friendly and attentive. I like this place!

The overall vibe, quality sushi and service was on point, ! The tuna roll, and especially the crispy rice was some of the best sushi we’ve had, and we’ve had a bit of it here in the tri state area! We kept it smallish, as he had just tried rubs down the road at Oiso, so we had a turf and surf ‍♀️ Would come back, immediately! So happy to have found this spot, so close to home! Thank you for being a legitimate sushi place!

Fantastic experience! The sushi and sashimi were amazing. They have tuna and hamachi toro! Not many sushi restaurants have this on the menu. Service was top notch and on the ball. Japanese sushi chefs behind the counter. Place was full when we arrived and my wife and I were the only white people in there … good sign i think.

We drive 50 minutes every time just to eat at this restaurant, and we’re always very satisfied. The owner is super nice, the sashimi is very fresh, and the prices are reasonable. You must try the oysters and uni! Highly recommended.

Food was good for the price! My wife and I shared an appetizer and the “Sushi Moriawase Deluxe,” which comes with 25 pieces of sushi. That was plenty for the two of us (we’re light eaters), and we left feeling full. At about $60 per person, I thought it was worth it.

This place is BYOB (I noticed a lot of people bringing their own bottles), so if you’d like drinks with your sushi, make sure to bring your own.

If you plan on going during a busy time—like weekend dinner hours—I’d recommend making a reservation. We went around 7:30 pm on a Friday without one and ended up waiting about 45 minutes.

Each piece was filled with fresh ingredients and care — it was a truly delightful experience for both the eyes and the palate.
The appetizer, a scallop salad, was refreshing and light, perfectly awakening the taste buds. The grilled sablefish was rich and tender, leaving a lasting impression.
The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi topped with sea cucumber and uni was simply unforgettable.
It was a rare treat to enjoy such a wide variety of unique sushi that you don’t come across every day, which made the experience even more special.
The warm and cozy atmosphere added to the perfection of this omakase dining experience.
I’d love to come back with my parents or someone special.

I love this place ! Have been here about 5 times already this year. Tried omakase and many other dishes. Japanese in law family verified this spot. Servers are really really nice too. Once I got omakase while my wife just ordered by pieces and they still treated her as omakase with steamed egg, soup and dessert. Even their ice cream at the end is really good. First 5/5 restaurant in my review history. If you are looking for good sushi experience come here, I’ve tried many different places in Bergen county.

Excellent service and good food. Had apertizers and omakase. Oysters were fresh, large and tasty. Okra, hijiki and clean sushi were yummy. Tako Yaki was lightly battered but a little overcooked, Hamachi Kama was well done, moist and tasty, Tebasaki was good. Sushi & sashimi omakase was good, fish and seafood tasted fresh and had balanced amount of rice but sashimi pieces were medium size and too much connective tissues. Noodles in soup was excellent, very tasty and noodles were good, unlike your normal soba. Matcha and red bean ice cream were good finishings.

Atmosphere was a little too loud due to a drunk table but not the restaurant’s fault. Lots of parking around the restaurant. Prices were decent for the location.

As expected, it did not disappoint. The restaurant, which I visited again after a long time, was filled with people, and the food was clean, fresh, and well prepared. It was a truly rewarding dinner with a good friend.
