Shatila in Dearborn Heights is hands down one of the best spots in the area for fresh Middle Eastern sweets. Their desserts are mostly on point — from the baklava to the assorted pastries and cakes, everythingi90 q is rich, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients, and the presentation is always clean and inviting.
What really makes the experience stand out though is the service. The staff is friendly and welcoming every time, and the manager especially goes above and beyond to make sure customers feel taken care of. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference.
Definitely a five-star experience overall. If you’re in the area and craving quality sweets, this is the spot.

Shatila Food Products was founded in 1979 by Riad Shatila. Riad Shatila passed away in 2013, his wife, daughters, and loyal staff continue to uphold his commitment to excellence, quality, and community. Today this is a Lebanese-American woman-owned business that I am proud to support. It is absolutely astonishing, the interior design was so beautiful! The water fountains in the cafe were something that you only see in a five-star resort. The palm trees and the lanterns throughout the cafe were really pretty. The baked goods were so neatly arranged that I was taken aback by how scrumptious the arrangement looked. I wish I could try all of them, they even gave me a free sample which was heartfelt. Mr. Mohammad of Shatila bakery was very kind and deserves a raise for his kindness! Barakallahu Feek and Jazakallah Khaiyr! I love you and support you and one day maybe for a special event I will have a large order for you because it was so tasty!

If you’re already a Shatila fan, you have to check out their Ford Road location. It has the same amazing, world-famous sweets but in a sleek, modern, and spacious building that feels like a relaxing oasis.
It’s far more laid-back than the busy Warren Ave flagship, and a huge bonus is the friendly, young staff who always make the visit super welcoming. It’s the perfect spot to chill and get your baklawa fix.

Shatila in Dearborn was truly the perfect way to end our trip to Michigan. On our last day in town, we arrived just as they were closing and the doors were already locked — but the staff graciously let us in. That level of hospitality alone was incredible and completely set the tone for our experience.
The service was out of this world. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind — even though they had technically closed for the day. It’s rare to experience that level of customer care.
We tried their famous “House of Power” dessert, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever had — rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. Every pastry we tasted was fresh and delicious. The Middle Eastern sweets were beautifully made, and the flavors were authentic and indulgent without being overly sweet.
The coffee was amazing as well — bold, smooth, and the perfect pairing with their desserts.
If you’re visiting Dearborn, Michigan, Shatila Bakery is a must-stop for Middle Eastern desserts, pastries, and incredible coffee. Exceptional service, world-class sweets, and true hospitality. We will absolutely be back next time we’re in Michigan.

Kunafa was the best
Need not mention their famous baklava.

Absolutely incredible! I ordered the fresh avocado fruit cocktail from Shatila and it was an experience all on its own. The layers were perfectly balanced creamy avocado base blended smooth, topped with fresh strawberries, crunchy pistachios, and just the right drizzle of honey to tie it all together. Every bite was full of flavor and texture, refreshing yet rich at the same time.
What really stood out was how fresh everything tasted. The fruit was vibrant and juicy, the nuts added a perfect crunch, and the honey gave it that natural sweetness without being overwhelming. It’s one of those treats that’s indulgent yet feels wholesome at the same time.
Shatila truly delivers on quality and flavor with every detail. If you’re looking for something unique, flavorful, and satisfying, this is the place to go. Highly recommend. it’s a must-try!

Shatila Bakery in Dearborn was the perfect ending to our trip to Michigan. On our last day, we arrived just as they were closing and even though the doors were locked, they graciously welcomed us in — that alone speaks volumes about their hospitality. The service was truly out of this world, and the manager, Mo, took exceptional care of us from start to finish. He helped us choose from their incredible selection of authentic Middle Eastern pastries and baklava, all of which were fresh, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious, and the coffee was just as amazing. Mo personally made sure everything was packaged perfectly and securely for our flight back to Florida, and it traveled flawlessly. If you’re looking for the best Middle Eastern desserts and baklava in Dearborn, Shatila Bakery is a must-visit — outstanding service, incredible quality, and a true five-star experience.

I am so happy with Shatila. Mike, the manager came through for my family when we urgently needed a Superman-themed birthday cake for my son’s open-house/birthday party. We needed this cake in 24 hours and Shatila came through for us with no hesitation!
The fillings were delicately infused into the cake, the texture was excellent, the decoration and attention to detail was second to none. You can tell that only quality ingredients were used to make this masterpiece!
Thank you Shatila for your high level of professionalism and for making our day so special. God bless you.

Love this bakery! The aesthetic is so calming & overall beautiful. They have so many desserts for so many occasions. This is my 2nd time ordering from them & I’m impressed every time! I called on Thursday evening, right before they closed, to place an order that I needed by Sunday afternoon. I’m not sure who I spoke with, but he was very kind. Even gave me his cell phone number to text & send pics of the cake outside of business hours. My daughter, & everyone else, loved her birthday cake. The design was beautiful & was achieved with buttercream. I hate fondant lol. My only opportunity for improvement, would be the flavor of the cake. It did taste like it had been frozen, which compromised the vanilla cake flavor. However, it was still good. & the buttercream frosting was perfect! Very light & not too sweet. Overall, I loved it all. Thank you so much for putting a huge smile on my daughter’s face.
