At our Franklin, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Good service but when I tried to get lemon slices from the seating area a ton of gnats flew out of the lemon holder. I tried to discretely let the team members know. All they did was add more lemon slices to the top, not taking the lower part to be cleaned or adding more ice. Very Gross! Food was good though just ask for lemon from the counter!

I haven’t been to a Captains D’s in a long time so I was weary. I stopped in at this location yesterday on my way home from tge store and was very pleasantly surprised! The parking lot was packed so I knew it had to be good and I was not let down. The food was fresh, hot and crispy! Service was fast the sweet tea was AMAZING!! I will definitely be back soon.

I visited here through the drive through last night and was very disappointed in the food. The Cole slaw tasted nasty and my fish wasn’t done all of the way. I had been on a long trip and was tired otherwise I would have taken it back in.

My house mate & I drove from south side of Portland TN, to Franklin Captain Ds today btw 230 & 3 p.m. We placed our order at the drive thru. Courteous & efficient service. Once we got home to enjoy our meal~it was great! Still warm, after a 20 minute drive home. Everything was freshly cooked & perfect! Just wanted give a shout out with a positive note. Great job y’all!
