Very tasty! I ate EVERYTHING. I got the gyukotsu ramen & chicken buns. Service was fine, I ran out of soy sauce but not the end of the world. I wish the ramen was bigger but maybe that’s just the big back in me. I’d check it out if you’re in the area.

This is a great ramen place, the food is fresh and tastes great. The ramen serving is quite big and a good variety. We had the Spicey Miso, Waygu Beef Ramen and the Pork Gyoza. Everyone working there is very nice, patient and fast! They also have Milk teas! I recommend stopping by, delicious! The employees really care!

Ton-Ichi Ramen in Downers Grove is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts seeking authentic Japanese flavors. Located at 74 Ogden Ave, this cozy spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by attentive and friendly service.
During our visit, we started with the chicken buns and pork gyoza. Both appetizers were exceptional—the chicken buns were tender and flavorful, while the pork gyoza had a perfect crispy exterior with a savory filling.
For the main course, I opted for the spicy beef ramen, and my wife chose the wagyu ramen. The spicy beef ramen had a rich, flavorful broth with just the right amount of heat, and the beef was cooked to perfection. The wagyu ramen was equally impressive, featuring melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef that added a luxurious touch to the dish. Both ramen bowls were among the best we’ve ever had, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to quality and authenticity.
To accompany our meal, we tried the lychee drink and matcha boba drink. While they were refreshing, they didn’t quite match the exceptional quality of the food.
Ton-Ichi Ramen delivers an outstanding dining experience with its delicious food and excellent service. Whether you’re a ramen aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, this restaurant is sure to impress.

My friend and I have been coming to this location since it opened a few years ago. It’s easy to miss, but it’s an absolute gem and well worth the visit. It’s located close by the Trader Joe’s.
The quality and flavor of the ramen is definitely a cut above a lot of the ramen I’ve had from other places in the suburbs.
The sit down is very relaxing with a nice atmosphere. Also great for door dashing and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Give them a shot and support this local business!!

Very nice and need to stop by. Ordered the house ramen and was very good. It says spicy but it’s warm but very good level for most people. Wife had the vegan option and it comes with different noodles but she also really enjoyed hers as well. The one issue is that my glass that was given to me was dirty, I pointed out to the lady running the room and she was very apologetic. I didn’t make a big fuss, just asked for a new cup. A few minutes later she came out with the cheesecake dessert and was apologizing more. Very nice service. The desert was also very good. I appreciate the time it took to decorate the place as well as it all goes together very well.

Enjoying a warm, spicy bowl of ramen here during this cold winter was absolutely worth it. The flavors were comforting and satisfying, perfectly complementing the season. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to escape the chill. Highly recommend it for anyone craving a flavorful meal in a warm setting!

We came here in the afternoon for a late lunch and the food was decent. The wings were pretty small considering their price, and I receive both wings and drums when I had only ordered wings. In any case, it wasn’t the best Japanese cuisine I’ve had but it wasn’t too bad for where they’re located. Plus, they had Takoyaki so yay! The only atmospherical downside was that it was super warm in there. That made the meal less enjoyable as I was sweating so much.

Ramen is probably one of my favorite foods of all time, and while I couldn’t give this place five stars, I am glad it exists. The ambiance is lovely (though I did take out), location is very convenient, servers and hosts are friendly and the ingredients well prepped and packed for a to-go order. I found the flavors of the wakame seaweed out of place with the pork broth, though the nori was good. The chashu pork tasted good but was very thinly sliced and was easily lost if it melted into the broth.
It’s a good ramen, but it would only be a dish that could tide me over until I could make it to one of my favorite places that’s farther away, and sometimes that is good enough.

My husband and I love this place! We usually get the tonkotsu classic but the miso is excellent as well. Can be modified to be GF! The seaweed salad, grilled chicken skewers and bubble teas are also delicious! And service is always incredible 🙂

I was very pleased with my visit from the moment I walked in with a friendly greeting to the decor and food. I ordered the Miso Spicy Ramen. Presentation was on point, broth was delicious. I went because of the previous views and totally agree they are a 4.7 maybe even higher! I will have to come back and try more dishes from the menu.
