Food was excellent! Salsa was the best I have had in a while it had just the right amount of kick to it. The polo con mole was fantastic and this was the first place I have found it that makes it right since moving to Alabama.

This Is the Best restaurant I’ve eaten in Montevallo Alabama. The restaurant is owned by a lovely couple and their story will inspire you to become your favorite as well .
The wife and husband team met in high school and started saving from that point on working in different settings, locations.
The care and expense they’ve placed in this establishment is an example of true faith rewarded. No other compares. I’ve lived in several places throughout the states and I’m just grateful we have welcomed this business in our hearts .
So my thanks go to both the restaurant and the people in Montevallo who have made them feel home!

Food was meh…shrimp tasted fishy. Vegetables on the fajitas were burnt. Service slow. Margaritas tasted like Gatorade. We were hoping for a better experience.

Food was great and came out fast and hot. Served was very friendly. Great to have good Mexican food close to home rather than having to drive to calera during rush hour. We will definitely be back, wife wasn’t too fond of the margarita mix but that wouldn’t stop us from coming for the great food.

Had a super-strange experience catching a late dinner here several weeks ago… Very aggressive & rude waiter (elderly man). Hopefully, he’s been culled out by now (we eat there regularly, and all the other servers are top-notch). Hate to leave bad review because we really like the place, but heads-up to management… One bad front-of-house employee can really damage your brand.

Went with a group of work friends to try this new establishment in Montavalo. Service was quick, food of my fellow co-worker looked so good I changed my order. Food was served hot, and had so much I ended up bringing some home.

This place has an excellent location but appears to be struggling already. We had dinner here twice and both times, the food was just ok. To be clear, the staff are competent and friendly. My issue is strictly with food quality and the price for same. The chips and cheese dip were cold. The tamales had almost no filling, the steak taco salad was mostly green peppers. Everything had the appearance of stretching ingredients to make it work rather than a restaurant you paid to eat at. It took two visits for me to notice, but they also pass on their card processing fee directly to the customer. Any place can have an off night or a hard month – but that was it for me. I’m already paying $15+ for an entree, plus a healthy tip (because the staff deserves it). IMO, you can either be expensive OR mediocre, not both. Note: I didn’t bring this concern to mgmt because quality and fees are things already within their control, as opposed to a stand-alone service issue.

Great customer service, Great entree’s and Great margaritas. The owner has been there all three times that I have eaten there which is wonderful. The food is tasty, full of flavor and good portions. The salsa is delicious and a great start to our entrees. The Hawaiian and mango margaritas are the BEST. I’m going again tonight. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant over the other options in the area.
