The creativity, food vision & execution at Mesa made it an experience that’s hard to forget. I would love to visit again & try a few other dishes from their menu if I get the chance to. Highly recommend visiting this place.

Atmosphere:
I believe there’s a private dining place upstairs but I cannot speak for it since I’ve just dined downstairs. It’s not huge, but it’s cosy & comfortable with ample space between tables. The tables & seating aren’t extravagant which puts you at ease. Feels like the perfect blend between the comfort of home & the level of fine dishes.
The music selection was covers of classic songs which appealed to me. It was loud enough to drown out conversations from nearby tables but still quiet enough for normal conversations.
There are paintings around the walls that fit in well with the decor.

Service:
The staff were very friendly & didn’t hesitate to give recommendations when asked. Extremely attentive as well.
The speed of service was really quick without losing out on the freshness of dishes, it’s clear that prep for dishes was handled really well.

Cocktails:
Mesa pin gin – This is the only cocktail I tried. Simple, delicious & very well balanced. The others at the table who tried different cocktails enjoyed theirs too.

Tapas:
Blue Cheese Baklava – My favourite dish of the day. The filo pastry was wafer thin & so crispy. The combination between the blue cheese & Himalayan hot honey was divine. It had this savoury dessert taste with the cool & pungent cheese balanced by the warmth & sweetness of the honey. Highly recommend this one as a starter

Jim Jam – Ridiculously creative. They looked exactly like the biscuits. The parmesan cookie was nice, thankfully not as hard as the original biscuits. The parmesan & truffle mousse inside was delicious, with a texture like goats cheese. The salami filling helped with the overall variety of textures inside, & the nduja sausage in the centre went really well with the cheesy truffle-y mousse filling. A must try

Casablanca – Heard it’s one of the most popular tapas & for good reason. Has to be in my top 3 tapas here, but it’s quite filling so be wary if you’re looking to try a whole bunch of dishes. A lot of ingredients in this one, but 2 things that stood out were the base – where I could definitely taste the harissa but it wasn’t in your face, & the pulled lamb which was melt-in-mouth tender

Viva Espana – One of the few dishes I thought was just alright. The stroopwafel & fillings were good, but not extraordinary like the other dishes. Others mentioned the pineapple & mustard dip elevated it, but as a pineapple disliker, that was more of a personal issue.

The Riviera – A normal goats cheesecake. For me, the Carrot Vichy Gel is what really elevated this dish, incredibly flavourful & it gave it the slight kick that this dish needed.

Textures of Corn – The chipotle & cheese base was delicious, I thought it went well with the corn. There were 3 types of corn – juicy possibly buttered corn pieces, crispy roasted corn pieces, & a spicy mushy corn piece in the centre. Great to try but I probably wouldn’t order it again considering the other great dishes here.

Complimentary Bread Platter – Rectangular pieces of bread which were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. They had large triangular crispy pieces as well that looked like papadum. It was accompanied by a thick chimichurri sauce, nothing more you can really ask for from a complimentary bread platter.

Mains:
Singapore Chilli Crab – This was the only main I tried & it was quite impressive. The 3 bread balls served alongside it were again, slightly crispy on the outside but still so soft & airy inside. The salad was also delicious, tasting lightly pickled or dressed with vinaigrette, which went well with the veg. The thing that pleased me the most was the bowl of crab, which was topped with white flaky pieces under which there was a whole load of the brown meaty goodness. It felt like they scraped out the best bits of the crab & filled the bowl with it. Really enjoyed this one

A Masterclass in Hospitality and Culinary Delight at Mesa, Lodi Colony

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a friend’s birthday at Mesa, Lodi Colony, and once again, this restaurant exceeded all expectations, transforming a special evening into a truly memorable culinary event.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and deeply welcoming. Though we had a pre-ordered Italian menu, our host and friend, the owner Sandeep, kindly and thoughtfully offered alternative suggestions to ensure everyone found something perfect.

The drink selection alone is worth the visit. I enjoyed three distinct, meticulously crafted non-alcoholic choices: a surprisingly complex smoke-infused “jin,” a refreshing fruity pineapple punch, and an elegant mocktail featuring a sophisticated Italian mixer. The attention to detail in the non-alcoholic options is outstanding.

For the main course, I indulged in the tenderloin steak, which was nothing short of exceptional—incredibly juicy and tender. It was perfectly complemented by a side of light, fresh sautéed vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, and a rich, savory jus.

What truly sets Mesa apart is the personalized experience. The chef personally spent time at our table, engaging with us, discussing feedback, and genuinely checking in. This level of dedication makes you feel truly valued as a guest.

We finished the evening with two stunning desserts: a rich, decadent chocolate mousse and a flawlessly executed classic tiramisu.

Mesa, Lodi Colony, offers more than just great food; it delivers a complete, heartfelt dining experience. Highly recommended for special occasions or when you simply want to treat yourself to exceptional cuisine and unparalleled service.

The ambience is calm and minimalistic and it is refreshingly free of loud music so you can actually enjoy your food and conversation.

The hospitality truly stood out and made the experience feel personal. Anam, knew the menu inside out and guided us through the must-tries without overselling anything. The chef checks on every table which shows how much care goes into the service.

The food was outstanding. The blue-cheese baklava is one of the most memorable dishes I have had in a long time. The tiramisu was another easy favorite. The wine selection is excellent with plenty of options available by the glass.

Overall thoughtful food and a setting that felt curated rather than crowded. Reservations are definitely recommended since they stay booked but the visit is absolutely worth it.

Mesa at The Lodhi is truly something special. I had such an incredible experience that I went back two days in a row, and I already know this is a place I’ll keep returning to for a long, long time.

From the moment you walk in, everything just feels right. It’s a high-quality, elite dining experience, yet the space itself feels comforting and welcoming, like a warm hug rather than something intimidating. The service is absolutely outstanding, attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring without ever feeling overbearing.

The food is where Mesa truly shines. Every dish is unique, beautifully presented and so thoughtfully curated. You can genuinely feel the intent and creativity behind each plate.

The textures of potato dish and the textures of corn dish were absolute surprises in the best way possible, delivering flavours and textures you don’t expect but instantly fall in love with. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection, and the level of detail and care is evident in every bite.

And please, do not miss the Casablanca! It’s an absolute must-order!! You’ll never forget that dish, it’s so memorable! The Sunday Roast just hits the right spot and the blue cheese baklava was to die for!!

Dessert deserves its own applause! The textures of chocolate dessert was outstanding, with layers of texture that were indulgent, balanced, and deeply satisfying! Most suitable for a person like me who like a balanced dessert and not an overly sweet one!

A special mention to Chef and owner Sandeep and also his wife, who were incredibly warm and attentive. As someone who can’t handle much spice, I was so touched by the effort he made to adapt certain dishes to suit my palate without compromising on flavour. That level of thoughtfulness makes the experience even more memorable! Their presence and how interactive and hands on they are with guests adds such a warm, wholesome energy to the space!

What I love most is that even after multiple visits, you still feel like there’s so much more on the menu calling you back. Mesa is one of those rare places where the food, the vibe, the people, and the passion all come together seamlessly!

Highly, highly recommend. This is dining done with heart, thought and soul!

It was my first time dining here, and I was impressed by the flavors of the dishes. The texture of the mushroom dish is a must-try! It was a very interesting dish! I am not usually a fan of tomato-based pasta sauce, but the freshness of the tomatoes and the pasta truly made it one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had to date. I was keen to try a wine from their extensive wine collection and was guided on the perfect pairing for my meal. The ingredients were of high quality, and the pasta texture was absolutely perfect. I hope to visit again soon!

Oh man I almost don’t want to write a review and keep this place my little secret!

The food is crazy good, Chef Sandeep has some truly experimental stuff which looks and tastes Michelin worthy and then there is your daily pizzas, pasta & sandwiches, which are far far far better than any dedicated comfort food place. Honestly close your eyes and put your finger on anything and I assure you, you will love it.

If you love wine, then this is THE place in Delhi where you find the most diverse collection of wine by the glass! I mean I’m willing to bet you will be back if you love wine.

Other drinks are also amazing fyi.. staff is great..Ambience is lovely and Chef Sandeep is the star!

Parking is road side, seating is limited, get reservations on weekends.
