I have to say this place did not disappoint!! The Calamari and Shrimp appetizer was cooked to perfection. The Seafood Risotto and Potato Scaled Flounder were so tasty. The Pot of Mousse and Creme Brulee were a perfect way to end dinner…absolutely delicious!! Our server TJ was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning to Cafe Nuevo.

Beautiful location. Right on the river. Quality food, staff was welcoming professional and courteous. Food was delicious. Lamb shank was a 10/10!
Also I love a small but important detail, they informed me of the wait time for a specific dish because it’s cooked a certain way and made it known the wait for the dish was 35 minutes. Excellent.

The food was just okay nothing to write home about especially for the price we paid! Our waitress was great until the end of the meal she disappeared and another waiter came and asked if we had gotten our check yet after 15 minutes. They pack the restaurant so multiple times during the night we had waiters bumping into our chairs. Overall it seems like a high end place but execution could be better

I used to travel for work and entertain clients when I lived in RI. I would always bring them to my favorite restaurant in the country! For over 20 years this place has been the best in class. Every person I ever brought here left in awe. the food, the service and the consistency are a true mark of excellence for Dimitri, the owner. Last night, we drove from Connecticut to PVD to dine on my wife’s birthday. I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was one of my favorite meals of my 74 yrs. Eric, our server, was exemplary. Not having Cafe Nuovo nearby is one of my only regrets about leaving RI.

Service was impeccable, drinks were well prepared and delectable, and our appetizer and entrees were beautiful, flavorful, Michelin star presentable and delicious.
They accommodated a large group (14+) with grace. Additional servers lent our waiter and runner additional support so everyone was getting drinks and food at the same time.

Went the Saturday after Valentines with my husband. It was our first time there and we heard good things about this place. We checked in but it took a bit for someone to come to the host stand and to get us seated. Our waiter Thomas was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and provided great customer service. Drinks were great, apps were ok we had the calamari which could have been cooked alittle longer and on the bland side but the sushi app was good. Our entree my husband had the lamb shank which he loved. I got the duck and I was so disappointed. It didn’t have any wow factor and wasn’t even hot. I wanted to send it back but there was another table that had sent food back next to us that I didn’t bother saying anything. I took a few bites and got it boxed. It was a bummer. We didn’t bother with dessert as it bothered me. For $48, I thought it would be better. At least we gave this place a try.

This restaurant is a true gem that masterfully executes a complex, fusion-inspired menu. While combining an abundance of ingredients and cross-cultural cuisines is a difficult undertaking, the chefs here get it absolutely right. Pair the delicious food and generous portions with an extensive cocktail menu, and you have a winning combination. The atmosphere is elevated by a great location, perfect for watching the fire river at dusk. An unforgettable dining experience—do not miss it!

We had my granddaughter’s wedding shower here. Everything was excellent. The staff were so accommodating and pleasant. They made everything so fun. They were there every time we needed something. Wonderful group of people. The food, desert, and drinks were out of sight. Thank you so much to all of you.
