Great food and great service. Came very hungry with a few friends after checking in to their hotel. We order a ton of food so we tried a lot and everything was tasty. Love the holiday festive decorations they had put up too!

Absolutely delicious food. Everything was made to perfection. We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and ate here both nights. We had the crab cake dinner and I was amazed at how perfect light and delicious they were(were from the shore, so little judgmental on the crab) but we we 100% satisfied. Night 2 we had the NY strip and the shrimp and eggplant appetizer and again we were blown away. Dinner was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back again.

We held our staff appreciation party in the Alander’s beautiful event space last week. We had a group of 16. The North Star Restaurant at the Alander organized a delicious family-style meal for us, with a great assortment of snacks and a fantastic wine list. The staff was lovely…and we can’t wait to host our party again there next year!

Their new chef is next level, every aspect of our dinner was excellent. I can’t wait to go back and try their steak dish after trying the meat skewers. My husband’s monkfish was one of the best renditions we’ve had.

Unassuming little restaurant located in the same building as a sort of boutique motel. Despite impressions you might get from the outside, food was elevated, creative and delicious. I got the Black Sea Bass and my wife got the cheese encrusted chicken (very moist). The owner and other wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Decorations and furnishings were interesting and unique including terrariums that had made by a friend, a large old map of the area and a thin sink faucet in the bathroom. Atmosphere was relaxed and casual but not loud or obnoxious.

We caught both their summer and fall menus during our visit and were thrilled with everything! The fall menu specifically was by far the best meal we have ever had! Not even exaggerating, we have not stopped talking about it since. The porterhouse pork chop with sweet potato, the crispy maple brussels, and the rigatoni Bolognese pasta were so good we couldn’t stop eating after being so full we could barely walk. The chef here clearly loves what they do and are amazingly gifted at it. The whole staff was so kind as well. We can’t wait to come back!

Service was great. Had a lovely waitress. Meal was not great. The menu had limited offerings and was already sold out of two items early on a Saturday night. Apps were just ok. Ordered a burger because of the reviews. They were out of buns and served them on stale, crumbly gluten free buns instead without asking. The burgers were overcooked and disgusting.

Waited over an hour for our food, the appetizers never came, and the entrees were just bad. The pork chop was bland and came with a hunk of unseasoned sweet potato, and the “endive” salad literally had no endive in it. The best thing we ate was the kids’ mac and cheese, and that wasn’t even that good.

I planned a small getaway for my husband’a birthday and I saw North Star was close to where we would be. I immediately wanted to go because of the pictures, and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience! We made reservations online (big plus already!) for his birthday dinner. Upon arrival, everyone was so nice and polite, they asked us if we were locals, and we told them we were here celebrating his birthday. We ordered drinks that were delicious, some calamari as appetizers, also so good and the branzino for two for dinner. The whole dinner was amazing, the food was so delicious and the atmosphere is incredible. They were busy, but you couldn’t even notice as the staff was always very friendly and fast. In the end, they brought my husband some chocolate cake with ice cream with a candle. That was the best way to end such an amazing experience! I really appreciate the outstanding service they provided us!
