Finally got to stop here on a ride today. Well worth it. Fortunate enough to meet Suzanne. The perfect picture of southern charm and why we love Texas so much. Best of all was the cheesecake. I had the Pumpkin and took home the Turtle. Cheesecake was perfect and well worth a visit. Also note there is plenty of seating and good wifi. Will definitely make a stop in the future to try the food and more of the cheesecake. Wish I could have taken a whole cake home, but it’s kinda hard to ride with it. Next time.

Found on Google maps while traveling and it was an excellent choice. We ate lunch and the food was freshly made and delicious. We were greeted when we came in and asked how ordering worked which was quickly explained. After ordering We grabbed a seat and our food was brought to our table. The space is an older building right on the square in the downtown and is very cute and inviting.

Restaurant seating is so much more comfortable than a “commercial” restaurant. You walk in and you have space.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the menu selection. Feels healthier and much more homemade than even your average niche cafe. And our meal choices were NOT loaded with salt!
The cheesecake was divine. Rich and creamy. On par or maybe even better than cheesecake factory basic cheesecake. We had the turtle and cookies and cream. And while this isn’t a critique, just a comparison, the flavors weren’t as dominant. Personally, I prefer the flavors to take the background as the star is the cheesecake itself.
Prices were commensurate with quality. If anything, we get the better deal.
While our neck of the woods is filled with country fried steaks as big as 11.5 inch platters this cafe is a respite from fried and heavy.

Amazing lunch place. We had the Ruben and 3 salad combo and both were excellent. The Turtle cheesecake was a highlight. The atmosphere is causal, bring and relaxed. Good value and amazing food we will definitely be back

On one of our Saturday travels, we decided to take a jeep ride to Mt. Pleasant. We were looking for a place to eat, and Laura’s Cheesecake was one of our options. The first place we went had great reviews, but they didn’t have dine in. We decided that wasn’t the place for us as we were from out of town and wanted a place to sit and rest.
We went to Laura’s Cheesecake and ordered a brisket and pimento cheese sandwich. Instead of each one getting something different, we all opted for the same sandwich. We did, however, get different cheesecakes.

We received a blueberry lemon cheesecake as a Christmas gift with a 2 day delivery – the delivery actually took 4 days so the gel packs were no longer frozen and the cheesecake warm. I received an immediate response from Suzanne who immediately initiated replacement. The 2nd cheesecake arrived as scheduled and was even more delicious than anticipated. We are very impressed with Laura’s and most strongly recommend the business – we could not be happier with the quality of the product and the extraordinary customer service – thank you Suzanne!

This is a fun place but not for the hungry. The Madison Avenue Rheuben I chose was VERY LIGHT on meat and nothing like any rheeben in New York. The lemon blueberry cheesecake was awesome as the entire cheesecake was filled with blueberries and flavors. The turtle cheesecake was regular cheesecake and only had turtle toppings. Not mixed all the way through. Overall, we will be back but not for the rheuben.
