Been living near here for almost 3 years and didn’t know about it. Hidden gem!! Without doubt the best prime rib I’ve had in Arizona. The filet mignon was incredible as well. Both were cooked perfectly. It does get loud but that seems to be a lot of places these days.
The margaritas were very good as well. This is a place that should be hopping til later than 9p on the weekends.

Hidden gem!
Slate is a truly hidden gem restaurant located within the Trilogy at Power Ranch. I have been going there for lunch or dinner for quite some time and I always had a great experience (they serve breakfast as well but I did not have a chance to try it yet). The place offers dining room and patio overlooking the golf course with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains along with live music on selected days. Check their event calendar for more info. The food is always amazing, offered with fresh and quality ingredients, good presentation and sometimes with a surprising twist. It is great place for either quick meal, dinner or any small or bigger celebration event. I highly recommend this restaurant! Enjoy

We went here on the advice of a friend. She said the food was really good. Well our trip was not that good. First of all two of us had the Walleye Which she had told us was very good. The picture she shared with the last time she ate there looked very appealing. What we were served was nothing like her last meal here. First of all the portion was very small, and prepared differently. I had sauteed brussel sprouts, which were pretty much raw ( barely warm). Possibly the worst sprouts I have ever had.
3 others in our party had the prime rib, which they liked and was better than expected.
Probably the worst part of our evening was the service. Our waiter seemed nice but that was as far as that went. He never checked in on us, we had to track him down several times for missing silverware, water, and other things. I’ve gotten better service at fast food places and sports bars. For the prices they charge this place is not worth going to.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant to listen to a musician who was playing there last night. We each had 2 cosmos. They were tasty and strong but in a small glass. We tried the potato skins that they call Slate skins. I wouldn’t recommend them because they were overcooked with no flavor. We received three and only ate two. It came with a very small amount of sour cream to spread on it. We ordered the carrot cake to share and it was very good. I would definitely order this again. We told our waiter that the carrot cake was great, but the piece was so tiny. I took a picture of it to share. He just said, “Yeah, but it’s sugar-free. ” What kind of response was that?

The actual picture of the carrot cake looks much larger than it really was. The picture also makes our cosmo glasses look large.

I was kind and gave Slate Bistro four stars for the yummy carrot cake and the drinks that were good. The service was average, but I gave him 4 stars, too. The restaurant and bar area is nice.

We will go back when Dr. Dave plays here again.

Amazing food and fantastic staff! I have eaten here a couple of times now and every time it has been outstanding. I have tried the Chicken Alfredo, tater skins, chipotle burger and salad and they’ve all been fresh and delicious. The croutons are soft and appeared to be freshly prepared (not the hard boxed croutons). The chipotle burger was my favorite and will certainly order again. The burger was flame broiled and cooked to perfection. I paired the burger with sweet potato fries and they were light and tasty! I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Amazing food and service. What better way to enjoy golf than food before or after the round. The breakfast is great. Amazing lunch and dinner options. Their seasonal menu is to die for. We will be back.

Atmosphere: open floor plan live music sometimes. Oversized lighting like that you would find in an airport.
Wait: No
Reservation?: No
Staff: Friendly
Price: Moderate
Food & Overall: This place is a hidden gem. Very surprised there is not more traffic through here and it having very little reviews for as long as this place has been here. Place actually makes a decent Manhattan with the correct cherries. Deep fried mozzarella perfectly fried with marinara. Bruschetta has good flavors but mediocre. Salmon with lemon sauce was cooked to crust the outside lightly. Mushroom risotto was packed with portabello mushrooms. Caramel apple pie was flaky & warm. Prefect end to the meal. Overall good experience, little hard to spot from normal traffic as there are no signs on the building and not very well lit building.

Went for breakfast after a round of golf and will never be back. Ordered the breakfast bowl and after take 2 bites i noticed a huge hair tangled in the food. My appetite was completely gone after that. The chef did come out and offered to make a new one or give us a free dessert. I thanked him but declined since I had zero appetite after that. My husband decided to finish his breakfast burrito and ended up sick of his stomach all day. That’s all he had eaten in the day.
Definitely not going back! They need to fix whatever is wrong in the kitchen.

First time, and not our last! Atmosphere was very relaxing, service was outstanding. And the food! I can’t remember the last time I paid $30 for almost a full pound prime rib dinner. The flavor was amazing! On top of that, if you’re from the Midwest and enjoy walleye, this is your place.
