We were out of a ride and decided to stop here for lunch. We should have drove right on byeee. I got a Belgium Waffle with strawberries, the strawberries were on the side and had went bad. And had I have known that prior to pouring them all over my tasteless single waffle for $13.95. We should have left.
My husband got a steak and cheese omelette and he has no idea what kind of meat was in it and he sent back 2 pieces of uncooked toast and the waitress never brought him any toast back. They also gave him some undercooked home fries and the waitress reply about the cook was I told her about your toast she (meaning the cook) should have stayed home she just mumbles. And her help had long hair not tied up flying all round the kitchen. Horrible food, bad slow service and dirty old bee hives belong in a tree not for decoration on a diners wall. Health Inspectors where are you????? But the orange juice was good.

Local diner. Driven by many times decided to stop in and try it. The food was average and not the best of quality, but pricing was fair and reasonable quantity based on the cost.

Server wasnt too good, the place was pretty empty and she couldnt remember basic things like refilling water, napkins, refilling coffee, or even just checking on us after dropping off the food.

This is the type of place that everyone in town knows each other so when you walk in they all wonder who you are.

One of the few gems left for roadside diners. Food was a basic order of eggs, etc., but it was exemplary! Three hardworking, friendly ladies ran the joint. Wish this place was on a route I traveled more! Definitely a must stop if driving thru! And has a lot for trucks to park next door!

I’m a truck driver who was passing through. I love trying places that are locally owned. So I was glad they had a big parking lot to accommodate big trucks.
I ordered liver and onions, and it was really, really good. I got mashed potatoes and gravy and their mashed butternut squash. I don’t think I’ve ever had squash prepared that way, and it was mighty good. I’m going to have to try fixing it at home sometime. Perhaps my two and a half year old little girl might give it a try prepared that way.
I parked just up the road for the night and came back for breakfast and tried an Irish Benedict. The only difference between a standard Benedict and this one was that the Canadian bacon is replaced with corned beef hash. It was also good.
If I’m ever in the area again and hungry, I will definitely stop again.

Lucked onto this one avoiding coastal hurricane weather on the way home from the maritime provinces. As it happens, I will have excuses to be near, and I will come back for another of what I’m having right now. They call it Irish Benedict. Now eggs Benedict are not my thing, but this sounded interesting and different, so… Live and learn. Home fries are my thing and these are just right.
They have tea choices. The default is Lipton. Like coffee, this place will actually refill your hot tea.
Early is good. They say it picks up around 9 am.

We stopped by this place while passing though the area and was glad we did.

Food: Amazing and portion size was good and filling.
burger- amazing perfectly done, probably the best I had, buns, which was the star of the show. The burger was great as well.
Michigan dog – fantastic
pork chops- amazing as well, nicely done. A LOT of sides, I got the mash potatoes and squash. And the bread was amazing too.
Pie – was good too but the food really took the show

Service- fantastic and fast. Our server was really nice too

Overall: great food, great service and great price

Can’t wait to come back again if we pass by the area

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way to Vermont. Nice little diner. Seat yourself on the way in. Waitress came right over with menu and asked if we wanted any drinks. Order the 2 eggs over easy, home fries and bacon with wheat toast. 4 pieces of bacon came with the order and was nice and crispy. Other order was 2 eggs and toast. Total bill was $10.00. They had 1 cook, 1 waitress and 1 person doing the dishes and they were able to do a excellent job. They also sell homemade pies. Would stop again.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way home to VT. What a mistake that was. The place is rundown, not very welcoming and the service was so slow we almost left while waiting for the food. It was not busy maybe 2 -3 other couples in the place. The server seemed nice enough but could barely understand her as she mumbles. The menu has no explanation as to what things are. I ordered a BLT and while the sandwich was good the side of fries I got were terrible. No seasoning, overcooked and so greasy. My wife ordered a chicken Patty sandwich although the chicken tasted good. If she didn’t ask for onions (which you have to pay 50 cents for ) it would have been just chicken and a bun. The amount of onions they did put on the sandwich was a lot but No lettuce and it does not state on the menu that you need to ask for it. Maybe our mistake. The wait for these two things was close to a half hour-45 mins I would say.
This place could be very welcoming if they cleaned it up a bit and maybe work on the serving time. I would have understood if the place was packed but it was not.

On my way to Vermont I stopped with friends to have dinner and the big apple diner was on the road.

The venue is ok, not a fancy place but the staff is super nice and very friendly.

The food is great, we got an amazing ribeye steak with fries that was delicious. Friends ordered pie that was good.

Highly recommended!
