Stopped in after dropping a phone off for repair to have breakfast while we waited. Went here as they offered gluten free items. Had a full gluten free menu and catered to vegan requests/substitutions as well. Food and service was outstanding. Definitely closer options than this from our home, but would drive the extra distance without question. Highly recommend!

10 years ago we lived in St. Charles, IL and usually went to the Egg Harbor Cafe Geneva once a month. Now we have visited the USA again and went to the Egg Harbor Cafe. Our boys (14 & 15 now) really wanted a hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles, like we used to have back then. Our waiter Steven thought it was funny and just said that it was too hot for hot chocolate. We told him our story and then he took our order. Then his colleague brought us two special hot chocolates (see photo) and our boys were very happy. When we wanted to pay, we were told that the bill would go on the store manager Alex. When we thanked her, she just said that those are the stories that make Egg Harbor special. Many thanks again to Steven, Alex & Egg Harbor Cafe Geneva. We will definitely be back.

We came in yesterday and ordered breakfast. We normally have excellent service and food at this location. We come almost every Saturday. I always order the San Antonio skillet. We also ordered the chillaquilles yesterday. The food was horrible. The chorizo was hotter than we had ever experienced and it was oily. We couldn’t finish our plates. Our server was also horrible. She showed up one time to take our order and then the next time she returned was with the check. No refills. No seeing if we needed anything. When she came back with the check we explained we couldn’t finish the food because it was too hot and was not good (absolutely not like the other weeks) and she said “oh really?” While laughing. No apologies. No offering a solution. Just walked away. We left very disappointed. Also the server normally have always gives us a to go cup of tea to take with us. This lady didn’t offer us that. She was just awful. We will probably find a different spot for next weeks breakfast. You can check out check (Jennifer James was the name) to see we come in on Saturdays, have ordered the same items before( and never had an issue.

For me this has to be one of the best egg harbors. All though it’s the same food it’s still good and the atmosphere too. Also when you’re done eating you can look at the other businesses around. In the summer there is a small pound which is cool.

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant I come here often for the same thing. The last few times I’ve come here I was given either raw jalopenos or burnt potatoes in my San Antonio skillet. I’m not one to complain but after today I’m very annoyed. I don’t live close so I can’t bring it back up the road I live 40 mins away. This is ridiculous. Not only were my potatoes burnt I was shorted on my jam and not given my peppermint. That San Antonio skillet was raised a $1 so I definitely expect better. Work on this.

Edit: They now have an entire gluten free menu. My daughter is gluten free and they handed her a menu that was absolutely filled front and back with gluten free items. There is no other restaurant in the fox Valley that compares to this! She wants to come everyday now.

This restaurant adds such value to our Geneva hometown experience. Always wonderful food and amazing service. We loved celebrating lunch with a mimosa and Bloody Mary too. Great meal for a reasonable price! Also thank you for adding the call ahead list, it helps us plan!

We were sat quickly and the service was excellent. The chilaquiles were really tasty-highly recommend! The yogurt parfait was alright – a decent option if you are looking for something healthier -but, I would prefer plain Greek yogurt and more fresh berries. A great place to stop before you shop.

I have always loved the food here, but we had an especially great experience today when we came in. I brought my daughter in for lunch and she seemed a bit overstimulated from shopping all morning and was covering her ears.
I was about to ask if she wanted to leave and try somewhere quieter when the manager offered to turn the music down and give us a corner table. Our server was also very kind and friendly and we just had a wonderful meal.
I also appreciated that there were healthier options on the menu for me because I’ve been working on eating a balanced diet. We had a great experience overall and because we came around one, we didn’t even have to wait for a table.
