This was actually our second choice, after we found out the first had an hour wait. Walked right in here and ordered and sat down. Got much busier as we ate. Food was amazing!!! I was asking if the red beans and rice were vegetarian and one of the gals told me about a couple other sandwich options they could make! Onion rings were some of the best I’ve had, adult grilled cheese with tomatoes was awesome, beans and rice were spicy and good. My husband had ribs and chicken wings and picky him loved them. Kids had burgers, which were good size for “kid portion”. Prices were reasonable, portions were large, service was impeccable! If we lived nearby, we would definitely be back!

We’ve been coming here for three decades! The ribs are honestly the best in town. And that smokey goodness just lingers on your fingers! I love the Saturday night special: a full slab of ribs + 2 sides with garlic bread. There’s something about their fries that goes perfectly with the BBQ. If you can, stop by when they have the carrot and cashew soup. You will not be disappointed!

We’ve eaten there a couple of times. Theres some things they do excellent, some ok and one thing they could improve upon (in my opinion).
We got the combo platter which for $25 doesnt sound cheap until you get it and realize it could easily feed 3 people. We got smoked chicken, smoked pork, smoked beef, pork spare ribs, rice and beans, and mac and cheese. We also got an order of onion rings.
Smoked chicken was by far the best meat. It was fantastic. Smoked pork was also very good, nice flavor and not too lean. Next best were the spare ribs which were ok (not a ton of meat and their sauce isnt my jam). The smoked beef is ok, good flavor but a bit dry (definitely not brisket). Mac and cheese is very good as were the rice and beans. Onion rings were hand battered, were a huge portion and served piping hot.
The one thing I was not a fan of is their bbq sauces (normal or spicy). Not inedible but not great.
Service was excellent (super friendly) and the restaurant was very clean.
Definitely recommend.

While on vacation, we were staying nearby, did a Google search for restaurants and found Fat Jacks. It had great reviews so we tried it for dinner. It was outstanding. The ambience was great. The service perfect and the food delicious. Highly recommend.

Stopped by here last night. Had moved out of town years ago and used to love coming here to eat. They had (and still do) have the best cheese curds. They are so light a fluffy. And I of course had to get a pork sandwich, the meat was so tender and tasty. The woman who took my order and brought my food out was the owner I believe, she was so friendly and helpful. Thanks for the great dinner. Wish I would have taken some pictures, but I was so focused on eating that I forgot.

This was my first time eating from here. As a born and raised southerner this is what I would consider real deal bbq, everything from the ribs to the sides were delicious. I will definitely be back!
