1. If you have a group of friends or family of atleast 6 or above, this is the place to spend productive time of enjoying drinks and sport of volleyball.
2. They usually have leagues every week day. You need to sign up with your own group with at-least one girl/woman in the group as per what I heard. Then you can play all weekdays I guess with your group based on schedule.
3. But if you are group of people that plays volleyball occasionally, then I would suggest you to try only on weekends (Sat and Sun)
as leagues won’t happen on weekends and the courts will be first come and first serve.
4. Courts are absolutely free but given you would have drinks and food with them. You can play as long as you want as they have night lights and they close around 2am in the early morning.
5. They have like 6 open courts and with bar that serves food and drinks.
6. Cost will be decent and food is great but limited options. Loaded fries is absolute best.
7. They take/hold our license card for the ball ⚽️ just so that you won’t take away the ball. So make sure you return the ball before you go and take your license card back.
8. Staff and friendly and best service.
9. Sometimes they would have live music which is also best and to dance and enjoy.
If you are a regular, cool and I’m glad you have a bar to call home. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a fun new place to try. 2 stars and that’s being generous.
This was disappointing as this is a bar me and friends have frequentend for the past few years. We would come here often in the summer to hangout, get some drinks, and play volleyball/do the pool table. I was excited to take some out-of state friends here as well and have a good time. But the way the server was on a complete high-and-mighty power trip was insane and has completely changed my perspective on this establishment.
This situation occured because he couldn’t recognize out of state IDs and didn’t want to scan them. I get people don’t like “being proved wrong”, but to not own up to your mistakes is one thing, but to treat people as “less-than” because you made a mistake is another. Especially since as a server/bartender, you are literally the face and interaction to speak on behalf of the company values and morals. He kicked us out for “fake IDs” and the owner interacted with us on the way out to scan them. The owner confirmed they were real IDs, and when addressed to the bartender, the bartender lied and told a made up story. I get how he may have been embarrassed or wanting to save-face for his disrespectful treatment. Good job security for him to make up a lie on the spot than admit that he made a mistake and caused a scene. I mean, from the owners perspective, who are you going to believe, a group of people you don’t personally know or your employee.
However, it looks like this isn’t an isolated incident as another reviewer from NC had something similar happen with the same server as well a little while back. To have the same situation happen multiple times and not be addressed by management is astounding. It sends a message to customers that this behavior is condoned. Seems like this guy doesn’t understand how to read out-of-state IDs in general and gets a thrill on not scanning them and tying to kick people out because “their ID is fake” when it’s not.
Super disappointing, will never spend money here again. There are too many quality bars that offer similar amenities around the area to go somewhere with rude and incompetent staff.
