At our Fitzgerald, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We went to dine in. Order our food. Sat and waited 20 mins. A man walked in about 15 mins after we sat down and had his food in less than 5 minutes. Thats when I walked to the counter to ask about our food. I heard the cook say “Dine in has been waiting 22 mins.” The person running the drive-thru responded “Dine in doesn’t matter.” I asked for a refund because dine in doesnt matter. The drive thru person turned around and i said “I didnt say that!” Our food was in the window and she told the lady running the front counter to throw the food away. The lady at the front counter was friendly and kind.

Today is senior day and they just tried to charge me MORE than the posted price because I didn’t want a DRINK! That’s insane! The person who took my order kept arguing with me, so I asked to speak to the manager. Sadly, she WAS the manager!

!BEWARE! Never received the food! I PAID 32.22 FOR MY FOOD WITH DELIVERY FROM THEIR WEBSITE AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT THE JUST KEP TELLING ME WE AREN’T ASSOCIATED WITH CORPORATE. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY DIDN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ONLINE ORDERING AND DELIVERY EVEN WHEN ITS ON THERE WEBSITE I TALKED TO THE MANAGER THERE SHE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT AND I WOULDN’T BE GETTING ANY REFUND OR ANYTHING.

Never understood the concept of a restaurant serving fish and tea NEVER having lemons. Always have to stop by the local grocer to pick up a lemon before eating here. The few times I have gotten lemon here they were rotten. The food is not that bad, the service is lack luster at best with all the attitude, but that seems to be the norm in fast food, though it should not be. Coming from restaurant and retail work myself I always trained my employees to be actually friendly and to thank customers when they hand you their money that they had to work so hard to get Not a big ask but it is what it is.

Just went thru the drive-thru in Fitzgerald and ordered the new chicken tender and fish combo with slaw and sweet tea. Before driving off, I realized I hadn’t been given my drink, so finally got someone’s attention inside and got my tea. When I got home , I found fries rather than slaw and no utensils at all. I would have gone back to complain but my house is 15 miles from restaurant. Not happy!

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and hot.It takes a little bit longer than regular fast food but quality food is worth the wait. I got the ultimate seafood platter and loved every bit of it. (I’m full as a tick.) My wife got the 20 piece butterfly shrimp and she said it was perfect.

It’s obvious the staff is more concerned with going home than serving customers. We walked in an hour before close and are told they are only serving take out due to their floor being wet. There was no leak or unforeseen circumstance. They mopped it.
When they were asked about why it was closed so early the cashier said “I mean you can walk on the wet floor and hurt yourself if you want to.” My suggestion would be that if mopping the floor is going to essentially close it.. then wait until Close to mop.
Other trips we have been locked inside with no way to leave until someone comes and unlocks the door and have had to endure complaining about being at work the entire meal. Captain D’s may as well Close this location! Not even the employees want to be there…

They forgot something with my order than wanted to ask dumb questions like “are you sure you order it” or “are you sure it wasn’t in the bag” then the cook proceeds to throw the food. Not how your supposed to treat customers.

Always check your food when ordering at the drive thru. They have a bad habit of not giving you everything you ordered. This last visit I ordered the supreme sampler, I only got fish and chicken no shrimp came on my dinner. Sad, I was I really wanted the shrimp.
