Reviews
If you want this monthly occasion to be extra special for the patron, you’ve got some work to do.
Please take my review as constructive criticism – because I REALLY do want this restaurant to succeed. It is just what we need in the area.
We have been waiting patiently for Twenty7 to open. Once we were able to get a social membership, we signed up right away. As with any new restaurant, we gave it some time before we visited – so the staff could get used to things, cooks got to know and perfect their menu, etc.
We have now eaten at Twenty7 several times in the past 3 months and unfortunately, the experience and service is very mediocre with each visit:
– Ticket times are too long (20-30 minutes)
– The servers do not know their own menu when asked questions.
– Forgotten items that were ordered
– Overcooked food
– No wine/spirits etiquette or knowledge
– What is the staff doing to prevent non-members from dining? Every visit, we literally walk in, get sat, and order/eat. Our member number is asked for AFTER we finish our meal (and we can pay by account or cash/card). Doesn’t seem as exclusive as it is meant to be.
Listed above is just what continues to stand out the most.
For Twenty7 to be an exclusive and members-only restaurant with premium pricing, one should expect and receive better service and knowledge overall. Right now, it is like eating at a cleaner and more expensive Taco Mac.
Again, please take the above as constructive criticism. I want this place to succeed.
Tried brunch again today. Waffle came with syrup this time which I will take as a win. But our “well done” bacon came out still oinking. We asked for it to be cooked some more. Then it came out black and burnt to a crisp. Unfit to eat. Toast was also black and burnt so we had to ask for more toast. Service was better, but food sucked. Giving 2 stars because we liked the waffle, fruit and chicken biscuit. But won’t be coming back. For this to be such a high class neighborhood, it’s sad that I would rather have Waffle House.
