I stopped by to patronize a new Black owned business I saw profiled in QCity Metro. I’d never been to Monarch Market; when you enter on Tryon Street, it’ll be on your left hand side towards the back.
I ordered the Just Loaded Fries to go. It was just over 5 minutes between when I ordered & when I received the text stating that my order was ready. The young lady at the register was pleasant and explained the different sauces to me. The container was surprisingly heavy when handed to me. The portion was definitely enough for two people. Not sure if it was the seasoning on the chicken tenders or in the sauce, but I tasted either Old Bay or a similar seasoning. They weren’t stingy with the cheese, either.
I wish them great success. If you’re a fan of chicken tenders & fries with good service at a reasonable price, just stop by. They opened to the public today, Saturday 01-27-24.

This chicken joint is inside a food court. I wanted to try it with my kids and based my choice on the very good initial reviews. Well…..Food wasn’t bad but definitely nothing I’d wrote home about. 3 stars is being gracious because these are your average chicken tenders that may be a step above what I got at my high school cafeteria. Don’t plan on trying it again unless everything else is closed and I’m starving. Sorry wish I could match the other rave reviews. Guess my standards are a wee bit higher. On a positive note, they do have good honey mustard sauce.

The food was hot and made to order. The presentation was nice and neat. The ingredients were fresh. We just expected the chicken to be the star of the dish instead it was the sauce. The chicken was fried to perfection, crispy and golden brown. But in our opinion it lacked seasoning. The staff was very polite and friendly. The prices are reasonable. The portions are large. I’m glad other people are giving good reviews. I’d love to see this business grow… just not for me

i was looking for good food places around my work and found this one. I didn’t realize there were other restaurants there as I had no idea what Monarch Market was but they didn’t stop me. I ordered the loaded fries with the special sauce and it was delicious. The fries and chicken were dropped fresh when I ordered and came out piping hot, which helped to melt the layer of cheese between the two. I’ll definitely be back soon!

I have been to this location many times in the past and it was good. Chicken tenders were a great size and juicy… not today! There’s a young guy in there cooking the food and he fried the chicken for satan himself because the chicken was hard as a tree twig and resembled one too. Super dry and disgusting. So dry my Yorkie dog struggled to eat it and had to literally gnaw on it to eat it. I would’ve taken it back to them but they were closed by the time I took my lunch break. Secondly, the same guy burnt my roll black, making it super dry as well. I didn’t eat it and was afraid to eat it because he went to help the cashier out who looked like they were in training and he DID NOT TAKE HIS GLOVES OFF! He touched the roll with his contaminated gloves he touched the computer screen with and some of the fries!!! Touched the screen with his food covered gloves and then WENT BACK TO TOUCHING FOOD WITH THE SAME GLOVES!!! DISGUSTING!!! Check the cameras if you don’t believe me. I am so done with them and they need to put the people back who used to cook the chicken. This guy is distracted and needs some heavy training. I need a refund ASAP! !! The only plus was that the cashier was nice.

Im a huge fan of chicken and feel like you can never go wrong. Just Chicken definitely didn’t disappoint with the Just Tender Meal which was worth every penny for all the food I got. The menu is right to the point and the staff is simply amazing. This is a must try if you come down to Monarch Market and I’ll definitely be back for more.

The best restaurant at Monarch Market. Went twice and both times they were closed. A worker at the food hall told us that it was shut down. I hope they open a new location somewhere around charlotte.

I ordered the chicken tenders and the server asked for my name so I went and sat down since I was eating in, silly me thought she would bring my food to me. After 10 minutes and when I saw four people order and get theirs before mine, it irritated me. When I walked to the counter, they had forgotten my order and then she told me 2 more minutes. I waited another five minutes and then she gave two orders out that were placed after my order. I was so upset I asked for my money back. I’m really surprised by all of the good reviews.

This establishment is such a disgrace. They had a contest to provide a catered meal for a school for staff appreciation. Not only did they cancel once but they canceled twice, and the last time was only 1 hour before they were expected to arrive at the school. This left a staff of 40 teachers without lunch for the day. The management and staff at the restaurant were rude, unapologetic, unprofessional, and unavailable to remedy the situation. I work just one block away and I will not be spending my money there anymore. Do better Just Chicken.
