As a chef…I wouldn’t say that I am easy on restaurants when I review them. That being said…while traveling from Omaha for a funeral I stopped in with family to this establishment.

Being from Nebraska…I’m also a pretty harsh critic when it comes to claims of “good beef.”

My hopes were not high when I walked past the pictures of this emo looking cattle…

Scottish Highland Cattle look less delicious than the angus I’m used to. They look like at any moment they may start belting out Second Hand Serenade…

But dude…

The food. The service. The environment. Everything was absolutely excellent!

I will return on my next trip to Treasure Valley for certain. Thank you all!

A surprising gem. They have a full menu as well, but the flyer seen here is gonna leave you with some FOMO and coming back for seconds. I got the giddy up, incredible. I might come through again tomorrow before moving through the area.

It was my first time visiting Ontario, and I decided to stop in for a quick lunch with my family. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and cozy the atmosphere felt. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the food exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Old Blue, while the rest of my family tried the wild West, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The burgers and fries were high quality, and the pricing for a full meal was very reasonable. Overall, this spot is a great find, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

What a great experience! The spicy cowgirl and chili cheese dog were amazing! And the fresh cut fries….a whole different level. You must get the ketchup…. wow!

The fries were Amazing. Wasn’t to thrilled with the burger. The flavor and texture was off. Plus the burger was missing 2 of the main ingredients for what we ordered, mushrooms & onions…SMH Asked for a refill of our drinks ama it cost $1 ea.

We stopped in around 3:30, place was empty, service was quick, we got the chili dog. It was delicious!! The fries were hot and fresh and really nicely seasoned. The gal that took our order explained about the beef being grass fed, a little leaner. We got the chili dog, the chili was really nicely seasoned, the dog was split and grilled. We will definitely go back and try a burger. Oh! We got a peach milkshake too, yum!

Right off the bat, I’d like to say the burger quality itself was one of the best. They have grass fed beef, and to me, it taste like it was homemade. However, the bun was super soggy, and it almost ruined the burger. For me, it was almost like it was sipped in water. Which sucks because all of the other ingredients were top tier.
The fries were made from scratch and had some delicious seasoning on it.
I didn’t like their homemade ketchup. The Pepsi was cold and refreshing.
I’d come back, but I’d ask for specifics on my sandwich.

Frankly, The Ranch would get 5 stars as I love their burgers and fries–the Little Jo is the bomb– BUT their soda lines have been yucky tasting on more than one occasion.
The inside of the restaurant lacks any kind of charm or atmosphere, but that’s why there’s a drive through.
I’ve also found their service to be lacking as staff gets angry when I ask about cleaning the soda lines. I wouldnt be asking if I hadn’t experienced that moldy flavor on a few occasions. Maybe The Ranch should value customer feedback rather than reacting angrily.

I had wanted to eat here many times. Finally, we had the chance. The burgers were delicious. Mine had Gouda (be still my heart), sauteed onions and mushrooms. What a great combo. My daughter had the little joe. Every order comes with fries and a 22 oz drink. We chose to have the milkshake instead, for which they took a 1$ off. Then I asked GF, and they added it back on. I was just so thankful for the GF bun!
This one in Ontario is inside a building. The one in downtown Boise is in a good hut in a parking lot. So this was an upgrade.
Definitely worth a try! Don’t sooner than I did.

The food was really really good, the burgers were some of the best that I’ve ever had. I got the cowboy burger with fry sauce, a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake. The burgers were very flavorful and juicy the fryers were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The service was great and the cashier was really nice and met our needs. It was very accommodating and the food was amazing!
