Reviews
The food was good. Homemade. Server was extremely nice.
I ordered chicken fried steak. Good. I wish it had a little more gravy.
Wife ordered corned beef hash. Not much corned beef. More of a potato cake if you ask me. She had one bite and didn’t eat rest.
Prices were reasonable.
We don’t think we’ll be going back.
Linda’s Hoosier Cafe is everything you want in a local breakfast spot—warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns, and it was hands down one of the best breakfast plates I’ve had in a long time. The biscuits were fluffy, the gravy was rich and perfectly seasoned, and the eggs and hash browns were cooked just right.
What really made the experience memorable, though, was the incredible service. Christine took care of us with genuine kindness, great energy, and perfect timing—she made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. If you’re anywhere near, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is the real deal!

During our visit, we indulged in two delightful daily specials that showcased the hearty flavors and generous portions that this cafe is known for. The first dish, a skillet packed with Italian sausage, potatoes, fresh vegetables, and topped with cheese, was a medley of flavors and textures. The risotto warmth of the potatoes combined beautifully with the savory Italian sausage and fresh veggies, making for a dish that was as satisfying as it was flavorful.
The second dish was a standout omelet, constructed with three eggs and generously filled with bacon, green chilies, and cheese. It was crowned with a fluffy biscuit and drenched in a rich, sausage gravy that was made from scratch, a testament to the cafe’s commitment to quality. The biscuit and sausage were particularly noteworthy, possibly the best we have ever tasted.
Service at Linda’s Hoosier Cafe was impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our coffee cups were never empty. The efficient and warm service added to the dining experience, making guests feel valued and welcome. Although there was a modest fifty-cent surcharge due to the rising cost of eggs, the overall pricing remained friendly and reasonable.
Linda’s Hoosier Cafe is not just about great food and service; it’s also about the experience. The ambiance with its Indiana sports theme offers an interesting backdrop that adds to the charm of this small diner. The combination of quality food, excellent service, and unique decor makes for a memorable dining visit.
We left Linda’s cafe completely satisfied and eagerly looking forward to our next visit. It’s a place that calls you back, promising more delightful breakfast and lunch creations that are sure to please anyone seeking a comforting meal in a welcoming environment.
