Lemongrass offers genuinely excellent service—our server was friendly, professional, and attentive, making the visit pleasant. However, the food was just okay; the taste was fine but not memorable or extraordinary. My main issue was the poor value for money. The portions felt little but less given the price. While the team is great, if you’re looking for exceptional Thai flavor or good portions for the price, this might not be your top choice.

Lemongrass never fails to deliver the best quality Thai food. I’m addicted to their Pineapple Fried Rice and their Wonton Soup. Very tasty and comes in very generous portions. I can say it’s always worth a visit and I always get good value for my money.
I got served by Hongli the last time I visited and she provided a great customer service.
She was very polite and made sure I got served on time and also checked to make sure I was happy. Thanks to Hobgi I will be visiting again next week and will try out their Sweet and Sour Tilapia when I visit.

Ever since my trip to Thailand, I’ve been craving those authentic local flavors that you just can’t forget. I called the restaurant to ask if they could prepare dishes with the traditional taste, and after receiving the owner’s confirmation, we couldn’t wait to come. My family and I had a wonderful time here — the food was fresh, flavorful, and brought back memories of our trip to Thailand. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly. It was the perfect spot for our family gathering, and we will definitely be back.

Service and atmosphere were great, but the food is not thai. I got pad see ewe, and it wasn’t flavorful or put into a wok. No crispy garlic or soya sauce. It was swimming in a thick goopy sauce. It tasted like chicken bullion mixed with corn starch and MSG. It was not good at all. I left 60% of my plate. Also, the spring rolls are funny. $8 for two very bland and mediocre spring rolls. There are so many good Thai restaurants in Ottawa. I wouldn’t come back here.

Great food! I got the combination plate which is a fun way to try a few things. I loved all of it. The curry was unique adding the peanut pieces. I would Definetly come here again

My friend and I found this place through Google and thought we’d try it out. While I hadn’t had Thai food before, I’ve tried many other Asian cuisines and was excited to try some since I have relocated from a very rural location that had NO Asian options. We arrived after a rainy walk, the side streets were packed on a Wednesday night so we had to walk two blocks for parking. The decor is nothing special, but it doesn’t detract from the experience. We got the best seat in the house- a two seater table in front of the window (so we could watch dogs go by). We used our phones to bring up the menu as they have a QR code available on each table (unsure if they have paper copies or not) and we decided to order a couple things and split them between us. It didn’t take long for the hostess to come over and take our order, being sure to clarify our order and the meat options we wanted, taking note of the spice level of each dish. Only 3 other tables had patrons, but many people came through the door to pick up take out. Our 3 dishes came out one at a time, and the hostess happily got us plates so we could share our dishes. The red curry was perfect in terms of flavour and temperature, to me at least, again, I’ve never had real Thai food unless you count the frozen items I’ve bought and reheated at home. We had tofu in it which was the only downside to this whole experience- I found it to be crispy on the outside, but hollow in the middle. My friend had no complaints about it. We got a side of Jasmine rice and crispy crunchy shrimp rolls and they were the perfect temperature. Lastly, our chicken pad Thai was superb. No complaints, we even thought the portion size was good for one person if that was all you ordered. I can’t wait to go back with my husband and recommend it to other people!

The food was acceptable, though nothing particularly special. However, the service is so bad. When we placed our order, the staff member seemed visibly annoyed and asked us to wait with a cold attitude. Throughout the interaction, she appeared more focused on her phone than assisting us.
We ordered Thai milk tea, but it had a very unusual taste and wasn’t sweet at all, something we’ve never encountered before. When we asked about it, we received a brief response that “it’s just how it tastes here,” without any further explanation.
We also asked for a recommendation for the fish, but she simply said she didn’t know and her English is bad and she misunderstood when we tried to order four fried rolls, she ended up bringing four full portions instead. Despite the confusion, we still left a tip and ate what was served, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing.
We won’t be returning.

Spice is good. Pad sew with beef was good. A little too salty for my preference.
Salt and pepper shrimp was nice but missing the crunch factor cause it was skinless. But lots of people prefer peeled shrimp – so this is the place for those people. I just prefer the crunch from the non peeled salt and pepper shrimp 🙂

Had to wait a really long time to get our food. There were just 2 people working and they were struggling. The spring rolls were very good. The Thai green curry was okay but the TomYum soup and the PadThai noodles were absolutely terrible. We had 3 spoons of soup and noodles and just couldn’t finish them.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was very pleased. The service was quick and attentive.
The Tom Kha soup was just the right amount of heat with a generous portion of chicken. Very flavourful.
The chicken satay skewers were also fresh and hot. The amount of chicken on the skewers is very good and they are seasoned perfectly. The peanut sauce was also excellent and there was enough that it did not have to be rationed (like most places)
The ambiance is simple and relaxing.
The only possible downfall is the fact that you need a smart phone to scan the QR code to read the menu. Some people without a phone or those not very tech savvy may have trouble however perhaps they have a contingency plan for those occasions.
All in all, a very pleasant lunch, very large portions and excellent value for the money.
I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
