We came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and my birthday a little early. Gorgeous romantic atmosphere.

My favorite was the scallop roll. It had a delicious hint of citrus; good creamy texture with a perfect finish of seaweed. The oysters were also great. The quality of the fish was perfect, and we appreciated the creativity that went into each dish. We sat at the bar and got to see them pick fresh herbs to use as garnish in the rolls. We didn’t try the omakaze because I wanted to try a little of everything off the menu.

The mocktails were ok. I was looking for something like a sweet mixture with pineapple juice. But otherwise, it wasn’t bad. Great restaurant, would come again.

What a fantastic addition for Houston’s Sushi scene. Aiko, simply put is phenomenal.

Upon entering, we were seated promptly for our reservation. The place is on the smaller side, intimate, but because of the table arrangements, you’ll be close to other diners. It can get loud, but it was never an issue communicating. In all honesty, it was extremely difficult to hear what the waitress was saying and not so much my SO.

The Food: A+ and outstanding. It was our first time, so we opted for Omakase since it had a nice variety; it did not disappoint! The freshness of the fish was spectacular. The way they pair their fish with different garnish, spices, sauces, etc really complimented the fish. I can truly say not a single bite was underwhelming. We chose to order additional rounds of our favorite pieces, and again, exceptional and consistent. Drinks were fabulous (large selection of Japanese Whiskey!). The dessert at the end…I’ll be lying to you if I told you what the hell I was eating, but it was out of this world delicious. I’m not a “sweet” guy; this dessert was tart and fresh and just amazing.

I highly recommend this place; it’s an absolute no brainer for those who love high quality sushi with a nice ambiance and location!

Tonight was our first time to try Aiko and we were very impressed. We had the NYE Omakase and some additional nigiri, and everything was exceptionally good. The fish quality was very good, as well as course composition. A bonus for the evening was the hall entrance to the restrooms, such a fun amd picture worthy display. We will definitely go back!

We went to Aiko on a Thursday night for their their omakase. We went without reservations, and there was no longer any seating at the sushi bar, but there was a couple of tables left in the main seating area. They have a happy hour with a nice array of nigiri and other options, some good beverages as well. They had a $45 happy hour omakase which was I believe six courses but we opted for the $125. The sushi overall was excellent. I thought it was comparable to places like Hachi and Aya wrt value and somewhat similar to Soto, though definitely not as over-the-top as Soto’s presentations were. The pacing was pretty decent for having oMakase at a seated table, with the overall time course being about, oh, an hour and a half for a 12-course omakase. The service was okay, though it was rather busy, and they did try to accommodate for us when we asked them to speed up the end of the dinner as we had to leave relatively early. Overall, I thought the dinner was excellent, and the experience was great. I would definitely come back again. My favorite nigiri was the kanpachi and the chutoro.

Aiko is hands-down one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to. The fish was incredibly fresh, and every hand roll and dish was prepared with so much care and flavor. The quality truly felt top-notch.

Our server, Vika D,made the experience even better. She was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu, and her service was outstanding from start to finish.

If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality sushi paired with great service, Aiko is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I tried the omakase at Aiko, and while the presentation and menu variety were solid, the flavors just didn’t hit the way I expected for the price point.

The fish quality was fresh and the nigiri lineup looked beautiful, but the overall flavor profile leaned a little too sweet or too salty for my palate. Instead of balancing each other out, some dishes felt like they were fighting each other. The sauces and seasonings didn’t blend as seamlessly as other omakase spots in Houston.

The menu itself was creative, and I appreciated the mix of cold dishes, hand rolls, nigiri flights, and a refreshing dessert at the end. But in terms of flavor execution compared to other high-end omakase places in the city, it just wasn’t on the same level for me.

Aesthetically, everything was gorgeous just not as memorable taste-wise as I hoped, especially considering the price.

Took my family here for their birthdays and chose the omakase for everyone… it was an incredible experience that we all enjoyed! The drinks, atmosphere, and food were all top notch. Highly recommend for a special occasion or anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Parking can be tricky however there are lots nearby, just hide your valuables because like any place in Houston you’re at risk lol.

This was our second visit while visiting from San Antonio, and it was just as amazing as the first time! The sushi was incredibly fresh, cocktails were great, and the desserts were awesome. Our server, Donald, was excellent , friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back every time we’re in Houston!
