I found a favorite place for fusion sushi rolls in the area! Good service, calm atmosphere, staff are kind.
My husband ordered the teriyaki steak meal, while I ordered the “Prattville” roll. Portion sizes were good! I love fusion/non-classical rolls, but haven’t been able to find any good ones in the area. Not your typical suped up California. It was perfectly filled with shrimp, avocado, and fish. The topping also was not scarce with spicy tuna and Krab on top ensues flavor with every bite. 5/5
Also had the salmon sashimi appetizer. $4 more. The salmon was very flavorful and tasted fresh. No slime, no “fishy” smell. Average softness. I thing that I found disappointing is in two pieces of sashimi I bit into something kinda hard. At first I thought it was bone, but after I removed it from my mouth it seemed to be skin/fat. Flavor is 5/5, but softness I would rate a 3/5. Would still recommend the sashimi, but with some reservations.
Update: I just had their tuna/salmon poke bowl. It was great! The base starts at $15 but really ends up being closer to $17-18 when you put the toppings on. I was not at all disappointed in the quality. The topping options are not limited, but not extensive either. Portion sizes are good. Rice is soft and flavorful. They use actual sushi rice which makes a world of difference! The only thing I wish they had was crab salad as a topping/protien option :/.

Mihaela was amazing!!! She was the absolute best server I’ve ever had. She took our order while making great suggestions and took her time with us. She made sure we were happy and checked on us after we got the food. You can tell how genuine with how she spoke to us and dealt with us. We’ll be back soon!!!

First time back since closer to when they opened. The sushi wasn’t bad, I had a Philly roll and a Cobbs Ford roll. These came with a very small ginger salad and I also ordered spring rolls. The server was great, her name was Kerri. I think my favorite part of the meal were the spring rolls. I remember it being a lot like sushi cafe in Montgomery but perhaps it was the teriyaki bowls. Overall not a bad meal, but after tip I was at $30 so it’s not where I would normally spend that much.

They barely give a pinch of ginger, not enough to eat with 1 roll. If you order to go- they’ll charge you for extra ginger, but if you sit in- they don’t. So you won’t get charged consistently or get the same size miso soup to-go every time, but it’s better than osaka quality wise. Servers are always kind and that’s really the only reason I come back, because I can’t highly praise a restaurant that punishes you with extra charges for ordering to go when it gives them more space to seat people and make more $ in the long run.

Their sushi rice is overcooked, mushy and flavorless. I’ve had way better sushi at the commissary on base. We were seated quickly and the service was okay, however the sushi is definitely sub-par and they rely heavily on sauces and toppings.

Love the Poké bowls! Great taste, lots of food, depending on what you add. Very refreshing!

We ordered 40 plus minutes ahead & told them that we would be there to pick up regardless…. When we arrived they said another lady had taken our order??? We had to wait while they made our order again, plus they charged us for a yum yum sauce & to teriyaki sauce, didn’t offer any discount or anything. Plus we had to leave a tip standing at the register while waiting on our food. Tipping has gone crazy when you do not even sit down inside a restaurant & eat. No refilling drinks, cleaning your table, etc… what happened to common courtesy of you make a mistake or a whoopsie, you correct it.???

The shrimp tempura sushi was ok. Edamame was excellent. Teriyaki chicken and rice were good. Service was great.
Went back on March 23rd and got the Old Prattville Roll. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. Paid for extra eel sauce which I’m sure I didn’t get.

Food is excellent! Delicious and presented really well. We ordered 6pcs of Shrimp Tempura ($9.25)(breading is crunchy but not the typical “japanese style” flaky one, it’s more of like a flour dipped style) it was okay. The rolls however, as you can see in the photo.. it taste as pleasing as it look. We order the Sushi regular ($18.25) and Old Pratville roll ($15.25) for this one, it’s saucy and you won’t need to dip it in soy sauce. But, as you please.. I live in montgomery so we just passed by here to try some in the plaza near the exit. The total bill is $49.28 (w/tax).. plus 15% tip. Kinda pricey though.. but we’ll try to visit again if we pass by pratville. (Sweet tea is refreshing aswell).
