I tried this food for the first time at a Dominican event and came back because I loved the chimi. The chimi was 10/10, had the morir soñando y passion fruit juice and both were 10/10. The picadera dish was good but the tostones were not fresh, it would be much better if they were made to order because these were pretty though, the chicken also had a weird flavor and did not seem fresh.

Ridiculously good food. I highly recommend the rice bowl, I had half pulled chicken half pork and added an egg on top. The flavors in each component of the bowl were individually elevated and the whole bowl combined beautifully. Loved the Latin music (I think Dominican?) they were blapping late night on a weekend. 10/10 this is exactly the kind of place I go for. Parking behind the building weekends and nights.

Great food! Surprised it wasn’t more busy because of how good the food was. I had the mangu with the cheese, egg and salami and it was amazing. Reminded me of how it used to be when I lived in New Jersey. The portion was huge, enough to share with another person. I also tried the chopped cheese empanada which was also really good. The customer service was great and the guy behind the counter was super nice

All I can say is WOW! First time trying this place out and the service was great and the sandwiches were delicious. We ordered a chimi de res and The Philly and it was so good! We have a lot more we want to try out so we will definitely be back! The decor was sooo NY too! I loved it!

As a NYC girl born and raised in the Lower East Side, I know good Dominican food when I taste it and Tres Golpes Downtown absolutely delivered! I had a friend visiting from out of town and were in the area. When she asked what is there to eat around here I knew just the right spot.
I ordered the yuca fries with their creamy cilantro and mayo ketchup sauce (don’t sleep on that combo!), and the chicharrón de pollo with tostones… chefs kiss . A friend also ordered a chimi which was absolutely delicious as well!
For dessert, I tried the tres leches, which was perfectly soaked and not too sweet. I topped it all off with a delicious ice-cold Merengue Country Club soda. iykyk
Whether you’re homesick or just hungry, this spot hits all the right notes. The appetizer, foods, drinks, music, and vibes all at one spot. Definitely great spot! 10/10

This place was awesome, and my husband knew someone who came here all the time. YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT!! The owner was super cool, and he introduced us to his family, who also worked there. He told us all about the menu. Basically, everyone in our group tried everything. I gotta say, they had the best fries I’ve ever eaten. The chicken and pork were so tender and flavorful. It was totally authentic Spanish food. I wasn’t able to take pictures of all of the dishes because everyone dug in so quickly! We will definitely visit again.

My friend wanted to come here after sending me their Instagram page and I’m so glad he did. Food was absolutely amazing staff was friendly too. I was unsure about what to order and they recommended the Pastelon Chopped Cheese and wow! Perfect blend of sweet and savory. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more!
