Service: 10/10 – super friendly and fast. Very communicative.
Atmo: 10/10 – the place was really clean with beautiful decor. Excited to come back and eat.
The sweet and sour sauce can only be described as soft and sweet, but not too much, and with the cream cheese makes these rangoons a sweet experience overall.
Filling – 4.5/5
Wrapper – 4.9/5
Crabby – 4.8/5
Overall – 4.7/5; an excellent crab rangoon that I will be coming back for.
This review is for take away. I parked behind the building and im not even 100% sure that parking was for Zaap. Other then behind the building its street parking. Theirs no parking permitted in front of the restaurant. So you’ll need to go down the street or around the corner. After talking to the gentleman at the front counter. I took his recommendation and ordered panang curry with tofu and veggies which is a two dollar up charge for each item. I also got the papaya salad… the attendant said the papaya salad was the best.
Ok the papaya salad was not that great. What ever they use for the liquid dressing lacked flavor… and the papaya is shredded to thin. One good thing; it was made vegan no fish sauce and no shrimp. The portion was very generous.
The panang curry was very average. It came with a decent amount of veggies and nice large triangles of fried tofu… but it was lacking any curry flavor. I requested Thai hot and it was close too as hot as I would have liked it.
I dont know!
Verdict… im not sure i would stop in here again. Its too bad too. Because after reading all of the 5 star reviews.. I was hopeful.
Fast and friendly service.
Super cute restaurant.
In a very unassuming spot right off a main drag so parking could be tricky but we found a spot right away.
The kra pao moo krob really stood out! It was an incredibly flavorful fried rice dish with crispy pork belly that had just the right amount of char and crunch. The Thai basil and chili peppers added a ton of bold, aromatic flavor and brought the whole dish to life. Easily one of the best fried rice I’ve had!
The chicken pad thai was also unique in its flavor—more savory and tangy than sweet, which I actually really enjoyed and is refreshing compared to other pad thais I’ve had! The pink Thai tea was tasty and refreshing, a nice way to cool off between bites.
We ordered everything at a level 4 spice, which was definitely spicy but still allowed the flavors to shine through. It hit that ideal balance between heat and taste without being overwhelming.
Great vegan options w soy protein subs, which is always an appreciated alternative to just tofu. The tofu skewers were fantastic.
We’ll be back again, and again. It would be be nice if there were vegan soup options, especially in the rainy season.
Edit:
Back for our third visit in 3 weeks. Had the evil jungle w soy beef; wife had the orange soy chicken. Both were amazing.
