La Costa Mexican Restaurant is a family owned business with three locations in Wilmington, NC. Our first location, on Market Street in Downtown, was opened in 1996. Since then we have continued our same ideals and traditions while expanding to two more locations in Wilmington, on Oleander Drive and in Porters Neck. We are so grateful to have the ability to provide great service while sharing our culture.

My favorite Mexican restaurant, I’ve never gone anywhere that has come close to how much I love La Costa! My family has been going here for what I can only assume is my entire life as I can’t recall us having never gone here. I’ve spent nearly every birthday for 20! years here, and it was the first restraunt I went to when quarantine lifted to celebrate graduating high school. I’ve ordered the same dish my entire life (the cheese enchilada) and have never found another restaurant that comes close to how La Costa makes theirs!
I’ve since moved to Raleigh and for Christmas my best friend brought me a jar of salsa and chips! This may be a review as well as a thank you to them for being the place my family had dinner every Friday for years and where I’ve celebrated birthdays and successes my entire life!

We loved it. Never been before as we live near OKI or New Bern. Stopped in for my birthday dinner to meet with family, they sat us almost immediately and the service was amazing! We were blown away from the care in making our food and this place is a step above from the normal hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. We had a blast

La Costa is, by far, my most favorite Mexican restaurant I’ve tried since living in Wilmington! Everything here is home made down to their tortillas, queso, and salsa. This place will be a favorite for those who appreciate authentic Mexican food with a small gringo influence. Lovers of Americanized Mexican and traditional Mexican food will appreciate this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and homey, servers are so kind, overall 10/10.
