Reviews
Only reason for four stars was off seating by the staff. With the patio wide opened they sat people right next to one another instead of spreading things out.
The Chick and Waffles were absolutely delicious. I think it is probably some of the best friend chicken I have ever had. Seasoned perfectly and cooked just right.
The huevos rancheros was awesome too! The sausage was flavor-packed and meaty and the salsa was bright.
Get the Mexican Chips and Dip. Its a level above any spinach & artichoke dip you ha e ever tasted.
The food was excellent. We started with the crab cakes, which were well-seasoned and full of lump crab meat no filler. My kids loved the waffles (you really can’t go wrong there!), and I had the portobello mushroom omelette, which was absolutely delicious. The side of potatoes had a nice little kick to them, which I really enjoyed.
Bread service at the table was also a big hit, especially with the kids. We’ve been to One Thirteen several times, and it’s always consistently good. Looking forward to our next visit!
Upon arrival at the restaurant we were greeted by their Awesome hostess Noemi.
Once seated Josh and Francisco took great care of us. We were blessed with a complimentary serving of some type of delicious pita bread baked fresh for you.
We didn’t order any appetizers due to the fact we had three servings of that delicious bread before ordering our food.
I ordered the Portabello omelet, a side of truffle fries, and a side of waffles.
All three items were absolutely delicious.
The omelet was probably one the best that I have ever eaten due to the delicious mushrooms inside of the omelet. If you love mushrooms like I do please try the Portabello omelet for brunch you will not be disappointed. The truffle fries with parmesan cheese were definitely different and tasty and my waffles were cooked just the way that I like them soft not hard with a little bit of crunch topped off with some fresh berries.
For a Awesome dining experience for brunch on Sundays after Church or for lunch or dinner during the week or on Saturdays. I highly recommend one thirteen.
A little side note I live in Baton Rouge which is a 30 mile plus drive from Hammond but it is will worth the drive for a great dining experience for a small group of people or they can accommodate large groups also.
The temperature inside the restaurant was also perfect, not too hot and not too cold, which made the entire experience even more comfortable. It truly felt like fine dining from start to finish.
Nathan was our server and gave us exceptional service, and Ely, the manager, personally came over to check on us and make sure everything was just right. The half-shell redfish I ordered was chef’s kiss, and the watermelon margarita was just as amazing.
Whether you’re planning a girl’s day out or a romantic date, One Thirteen is the spot. The food, drinks, and vibe were all top-notch. I’ve definitely found a new favorite in the Hammond area. Thank you for the great and memorable service!
A time to remember!
Everything here is so flavorful, so fun, the bread is soooo delicious you want to eat it all night. This restaurant has so much personality, the vibe is so fun, the dishes are remarkable, I highly recommend for a great date night out, birthday dinner or girls night!
Oh and their patio is so cute!!! So much personality and ambiance!!
