The food is amazing! We love Melissa. She and her family are friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, the food is fresh and properly handled. This has been our family favorite for years to enjoy excellent Chinese food/stir-fry, to eat a good meal, to celebrate birthdays and to gather with friends. I would’ve posted more photos but we ate our food too soon (The Mongolian Beef is yummy)!

Why did we wait so long to visit? Reminds me of Hawaii & the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. Food was good!! Can’t stress that enough. The poke tasted fresh, flavors of fish was outstanding. We called earlier to make sure there was poke because we have a drive

Delicious poke and great service! Super legit Hawaiian flavor in the poke and clearly made with love. Melissa made our first visit a delight, and it was great to hear the history of the restaurant. Don’t skip the spicy wontons – it’s meatier than I’m used to, but the flavor is so worth it. We’ll definitely be back to visit for another meal!

Came in for lunch to a modest looking family owned establishment. Greeted by nice lady at the counter where we ordered some poke. Friendly service, seems like a small family operation with maybe two people running front and back. The meal came out when it came out but we weren’t at all in hurry. Generous portions and quality of fish surprised me for being all the way out in Kent. Looking forward to definitely come back again.
Update: came again for the Mongolian beef and orange chicken lunch combo. While it wasn’t nearly as good as the poke I experienced here. I think for future visits I’ll stick to the poke

The food here is really good. I can’t state that enough. When you see a line of people out the door to either order, or take out, that’s really what you need to know. The freshness of this is different than sushi and in a much better way than a lot of local sushi. The flavor is incredibly fresh and the profiles they add to the poke are thoughtfully dinner. The egg drop soup is the best I can recall having. The rice had light seasoning but was prepared perfectly sticky. The wonton soup had broth that was closer to a lite bulgogi sauce. Little touches like seasoning on the rice or the fresh herbs on each dish, vinegar dipping sauce with pepper sauce blends in it are what really help the freshness stand out. I heard a story that the owner flies to Hawaii every year and catches every fish they serve, freezes the fish and then they are sent back to the restaurant, and this is why it tastes so fresh. Now, the person who told me, is known there by their first name. I’d venture to say it’s true, because when food is this fresh, it’s an experience.

Nice place, right off of 167. Proprietors very nice, comfortable, great atmosphere.
Looks like a lot of regulars stop by for takeout or to sit down and chat . Food came out in a timely manner, and I will go again.

Walked in and nobody said anything to us. So we waited in front of the register and still no one said anything to us. Finally a woman came from sitting down to take our order, she was very friendly. However, the guy serving the poke must’ve been having a tough day because he was grumpy. Still didn’t let any of that bother us. The quality of the ahi poke was great but $19.99 for a poke bowl is very expensive. The orange chicken was good as well, and was a little over $17. For two people plus tax we paid just over $41. I would come back again, but definitely would have to budget to eat here.

I called in a take out order for the house fried rice. I was told it would take about 15 minutes. I got there 25 minutes later and had to wait about another 5 minutes for my food to be made.
The house fried rice came with a soup. The house fried rice had pork, shrimp, egg, onions, and green onions. Flavor was good but a tad salty. The rice was undercooked with hard gritty center. The chicken-y flavor soup had egg, carrot, and either water chestnut or onion.
Overall, it tasted ok. Quite standard Chinese fried rice and soup. The undercooked rice was off-putting so I don’t think I will get it again.
