I had heard how great the steaks were at Santana’s/Danville, so when the restaurant opened in Martinsville that is the first thing we tried. We have ordered the 20oz Ribeye four times now and each time it has been delicious and cooked as ordered. My husband is low carb so for his 2 sides he opts for the grilled vegetables for both. He says they have so much flavor.
We are very pleased that Martinsville now has one other location for a decent steak. ($24)
This time I ordered ACP (for the dieter). Lunch size ACP, chicken cooked a little crispy amd 1/2 the amount of rice. It was cooked to perfection and just the right amount.
I’ve had the Steak Tips and Bacon Cheese Fries Appetizer at my previous dining visits. So far, the food has been superb.
The restaurant is very nice, elegantly decorated and the service has been great.

I must say that I really enjoyed my visit to this place. It’s new to the area and I wanted to try it out. The food was prepared very fast. Our waitress was extremely friendly and checked on us regularly. Always with a smile and positive attitude. The food we ordered was good. The fried ice cream was great. Lots of room inside and plenty of parking.

I’ll preface this review by saying the first visit with my wife was excellent. We went in at lunchtime. I had the enchilada lunch special and my wife had two chicken enchiladas. We devoured the food. The service was stellar. Fast forward to this evening and that’s where things took a turn for the worst in this establishment. It wasn’t because of the nearly $35 raw steak I was served as part of my takeout order, but how the store manager proceeded to handle the conversation when I called in. I was hoping for a cordial discussion about a potential credit on the ~$90 I spent on this order for my family. It’s snowing out. The backroads in Bassett are now covered. The store manager said he couldn’t do a thing for me unless I brought the steak back for him to finish cooking. He then proceeded to tell me this isn’t Ruth’s Chris and I retorted with the obvious fact that it’s still a $35 steak. I understand that this is Martinsville we’re talking about, but the one positive light in this community is how we generally treat each other. I’m a huge supporter of local businesses. I am a frequent customer of establishments such as Be Wiched, Don Pepe’s, The Ground Floor, and Walsh’s just to name a few. I’m on a first name basis with many of the fine men/women who run those establishments and have never in my 10+ years of living in the surrounding area experienced such unprofessional behavior. I was called dumb and a liar for the remarks I made. And honestly, i was taken aback so I decided to end the discussion with some not-so-nice farewell messaging. Lord forgive me.
I can’t in good conscience recommend this so-called “restaurant” based on the fact the store manager was so callous and degrading.

Since opening I can say the waitress time has actually been at a minimum considering how busy they have been. The staff is always really helpful and they help and communicate well with each other too- not something you see a lot!! Food is always hot and delicious no matter what I have ordered. The atmosphere can be a little noisy- but you can still have pleasant conversation with each other. The facility is well lit and very clean. And like I said I can not say enough good things about the staff!! Lots of lunch specials, and the prices are great anyway!

This is my first visit to this restaurant since it used to be something else. In a very overwhelmed area in terms of Mexican restaurants, and knowing excellent things about the one in Danville, I was curious and hopeful. I came on a Sunday afternoon at 1pm. It was decently busy, lot of servers. I was served quick, and ordered and was served within five minutes of sitting down. Food tasted pretty good, it was pretty cheap overall. Service was decent.
Overall? It’s just average. The interior is pretty mundane but still pretty unique, and everything else is average. I do hope it gets better, otherwise it won’t last long.

We came in not too long after it opened and the service was great! He was polite and on-top of making sure we had refills and napkins. The food was great as well! I got the Creamy Enchiladas off the lunch menu and it was delicious! For my first time coming here, I can confidently say I’d come back again!

The atmosphere was good, service was slow- took a long time to get the chips and salsa and when we needed some napkins took 2x asking for them before we received any. Place could use more servers. Food was decent. Not the best in the neighborhood for sure ~ I will go back to my preferred Mexican at the bottom of the hill

Excellent food and service. There was a wait on Saturday night. But it was worth it. I had the Chori Pollo and it was delicious. And I am not a fan of Mexican. They also have Steak, Ribs, and Seafood so you are not limited to Mexican.

My family and I decided to try this place for the very first time. Upon entering, we were not greeted by front of house, in fact, we were barely even acknowledged. It took several minutes to be seated even though the place wasn’t busy at the time. Our waitress was okay. Very middling, at best.
Now, the food was so incredibly mid that I was honestly insulted by the prices. I would sooner get a burrito from Taco Bell before I ever get another one from this place. The chicken was insanely dry and the food itself seemed to be lacking flavor when compared to the other local Mexican restaurants. They even cooked a cheese quesadilla incorrectly. It’s laughable that this place has the audacity to call itself a restaurant.
TL;DR Food is mid, service is terrible, and prices are high. Go to any of the other 100 Mexican restaurants in the area. You’ll have a better experience.

Went here with family, as the place had just recently opened and we were curious. Unfortunately, it was an absolutely horrible experience.
I ordered a cheese quesadilla and fries, and they ordered the chicken burrito with refried beans. The quesadilla didn’t have queso cheese, it was more the Mexican cheese mix you find at the grocery, and tasted just the same. The cheese wasn’t even fully melted. The fries were the most basic, flavorless, bulk frozen discount fries you can have, and again, weren’t even fully cooked.
Their burrito was quite obviously frozen, both by how it looked, and the difficulty in which it took to cut. Refried beans were also very mediocre and probably canned. Not even half of the plate was eaten.
Our waitress never once followed up with us to see how our meal was. We waved down a other waitress and asked to speak to ours. When asked if the burrito was frozen, she stated it wasn’t…until we questioned further, at which point she acknowledged that it was, in fact, frozen.
She went to get our check, which was brought to the table instead by a manager. After explaining our experience to said manager, we were met with a dismissive, accusatory response.
We were asked how we said we wanted the burrito prepared, which we were never even asked. The manager commented how I’d eaten over half of the cheese quesadilla, that if I didn’t like it, I should have informed the waitress before continuing to eat it. We went to the restaurant because we were hungry. The waitress was nowhere to be found, of course *some* of it was going to be eaten.
The manager continued to argue with me, and only through my persistence did she remove 3 dollars off the cost of 23 bucks and change.
I will say, however, the the hostess was very pleasant. Apart from that, this was a terrible experience, with unprofessional staff, and extremely sub-par food. I can’t, in good faith, recommend this place to anyone.
