My only complaint is that my wider-than-average bottom was unable to get comfy in the high-top seating. Moved to a standard tabletop after struggling with the hightop chair.
What really stood out were the Parmesan fries—crispy, golden, and loaded with savory cheese. Easily some of the best fries we’ve had in a long time, and definitely worth going back for.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but we didn’t have any trouble finding parking, though that could be due to it being Sunday. Seating was a bit of a mixed bag. While the layout worked fine for a quick meal, the cloth seat cushions were visibly dirty and could really use a good deep cleaning. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it did take away from the overall vibe, especially when the food itself is clearly above average.
Service was fine—not overly attentive but we got everything we needed without delay. It felt like the kind of place that draws a regular local crowd, and the menu had several other options that looked tempting.
Overall, despite a few cosmetic issues inside, the food is where Sid’s Garage shines. If you’re looking for a tasty burger joint with killer fries and you’re not overly picky about atmosphere, it’s worth the stop.
I started off with the Mule Kicks and had to order a second, while making my decision and enjoying the atmosphere.
There were several non-typical burgers that looked really good, but I decided to give the French Onion Dip Burger as shot but you know I had to add the candied bacon. This burger was awesome. I also ordered a side of Truffle Parmesan Fired and they may have been some of the best fries I have had.
It was a bit more than expected but I guess that could also be because the fries and two drinks.
For only having one night and one meal in town I feel I really lucked out and I will be back the next time I’m in town.
Food was PHENOMENAL! Burgers were well done, and the flavor combinations were really unique. The fries were fried in beef tallow, and the sauce that came with it was the perfect combination.
Finished off with the cookie butter biscoff milkshake, and wow! We would definitely get that one again.
Overall it was ~60$ with 20% tip. A little expensive, but honestly the food was so good we didn’t mind.
4 stars for atmosphere because we were outside and the store next door had folks who were smoking. Otherwise very fun place with great music choices.
