Reviews
We stopped at Melody’s Place on a whim while passing through Lytle Creek, and it ended up being one of the sweetest surprises of our trip. This quirky little restaurant and bar, attached to the Scotland Store, has such a fun local vibe — it’s clearly a beloved gathering spot for the community.
Our bartender, Rae, was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel instantly welcome and mixed a great margarita. The gentleman from the store even gifted me a postcard, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The walls are packed with historic photos that give the place character, and the small gift shop adds to the charm. Melody’s Place is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger, chat with the locals, and soak up a bit of real Lytle Creek history.
A must-stop if you’re in the area!
It feels like a cabin up in the mountain, and it is very cozy. The patio outside has cute decorations, and it would be nice to eat outside on a warm day. We ordered the mountain cheese burger, and a cheddar burger melt. Both items came with fries. Portion was huge. The burger patties were well cooked, but not overcooked. The cheese and burger were a perfect match! I was able to finish the melt on my own!
The lady who served us was very friendly, and she was very attentive.
I was happy that I was able to have a meal in Scotland without getting on the plane.
The server wasn’t all fake customer servicey and was more genuine with occasional attitude– which might not be for everyone but made for a more interesting experience and I liked.
Everyone at our table left with a clean plate after having the cheeseburgers. Serving size was a little on the small side for the price.
Kid friendly. Lots of coloring books and toys for kids were in a big box nearby. And older man approached us and gave the remote to our kid to pick a channel. Very sweet.
Perfect place to stop by after a wholesome hike with loved ones!
I had the tuna salad. I was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. Not gourmet, but they’re obviously keeping it simple–you grasp that when walking in. Within that, it was yummy.
And coffee. Thanks folks! Enjoyed the open easy-going atmosphere and good food!
