Passing through town around lunch I wanted something light and sushi came to mind . Hibachi & Sushi came up as a suggestion so I tried it out .
Located in a small strip mall & offering a Free parking lot easy to park . It was only one table so not busy at all. Menu was extensive so it took me a while to decide . I chose the spicy yellowtail sushi rolls and a side of gyoza. Sushi came out first and presentation was okay – nothing too crazy . Nice side of pickled ginger and some wasabi . Sushi roll was just okay nothing too crazy or special .
Gyoza arrived after a few minutes and was flash fried which is ok . But they were not good . Tasted like something out of a bag. Worse part was the sauce which was more of an oyster sauce way too thick that completely changed the entire flavor profile of the gyoza. I would not order this dish again .
Just an okay lunch nothing special but I was only passing by so I don’t think I will be coming back soon .

Just making a PSA to whomever goes to this establishment. I frequent this restaurant time to time and it is usually consistent but now I’m concerned. I’ve been going to H&S ever since I was in my teens and loved it. I haven’t dined in in forever, but have been getting my hibachi to go. I usually call the restaurant to place my to-go order as I feel the app will confuse what I get. I get the same thing all the time and pick it up. This time, I bit into something hard which I thought was maybe a bone/marrow but it was a piece of metal. This was the second piece as I don’t know if I bit some of while eating. I just haven’t noticed this before and hope I haven’t been eating metal in the past. Just please look before you eat, especially if you get rice.

Never tried sushi or scallops before. It was delicious. The food did not take long to come out. The service was friendly. Restaurant was smaller than I thought it would be and the hibachi cooking part is in the back so we dont get to watch it be put together (cooked). Price was high for small portions but I guess that’s the economy.

Ordered shrimp hibachi, chicken yakisoba noodles and Japanese egg rolls. The two orders after me got their order before us, and we waited close to 40 minutes for our food. Granted those parties included part hibachi and part sushi or soup in their orders. My chicken was over cooked, rubbery with no seasoning. The egg rolls were amazing and really saved the meal for me. The restaurant is mostly clean but the busser didn’t completely wipe down tables and partially cleared trash from tables. But they use a cute robot to serve orders. Music and decor are tasteful.

The sushi was incredible! I got the steak hibachi and the steak was also delicious. My boyfriend got the steak and shrimp hibachi and agreed it was delicious. The only complaint that we both had is that the rice that came with the hibachi was less than impressive, otherwise it was a great experience!

I had sushi platter and sweet potato roll which were so good. I loved their miso soup too. The atmosphere is lovely and the staffs are so friendly. Will definitely come back.

I’m a regular customer every Friday night. Love the food. Usually don’t mind the wait, even though sometimes it takes 15-20 minutes. Tonight however, I waited over 45 minutes for the food to come to my table. My friend got hers plus her take out order in 10 minutes. I finally had to ask for my money back because I couldn’t wait anymore. I’m going to have to find a new place to go because the lengthy waits have been happening too much lately.

Very friendly and quick service! The place is cute inside. Worth coming to see the little server robot in action (pictured). Had sushi rolls- decent flavor and fresh ingredients- not high end, but didn’t expect that. Definitely will return when I’m in town!

My husband and I ordered a dragon roll, crunchy crab roll, Philadelphia roll, and a Fuji mountain roll.
Taste was wonderful, and the rolls were extra special because they arrived at the table as detailed sushi artwork.

The lady at the front desk is rude. First time ordering and the fact they put different food in the same container is crazy to me and how would someone who has never ate there know that? Would never eat there again just off the lady at the front is rude.
