Wanted to give this place a try for awhile! Overall the food is very good! Pretty big servings in my opinion, we couldn’t finish our food. The server Amber was nice! The waffles I got were a cinnamon toast waffle, very tasty but once the icing hardened it made the waffles hard/extra chewy in some spots, despite that still super delicious. The drinks were 10/10. If there’s anything this place should be known for it’s the coffee drinks. Only recommendation/notice is that despite being a newer establishment, the tables and chairs are outdated and old. There’s rips in some of the chairs, most of the tables are peel and stick, and the bathrooms are extremely outdated with mismatched floor peel and stick tiles. I’m all for a good diy but it needs a do-over. Granted it’s newer, I expected a more updated look, especially with the prices – it’s a bit on the pricier side for the area. However, don’t let the atmosphere deter you from trying here, the food is very good. I hope that in the near future they replace the dining tables, chairs, and booths to be newer. Overall a good experience and we’ll be back!

Came here for Sunday breakfast, I was a little nervous after looking at the reviews but coffee flights were spectacular, home fries were wonderful, cinnamon roll waffles were a hit. Everything else was good . Loved our waitress. The place is fairly new so as time goes by it’ll continue to keep getting better. I’d come here again

Got there around 11:15 am on Saturday, about 6 tables there already. Greeted immediately and order taken within a few minutes. Food got there in a timely manner. Garlic parm fries were okay, a bit bland. Got the sugar cookie coffee which was pretty tasty. Got the cheeseburger and midnight blue burger. Both were decent but patties seemed like they were frozen and so did the fries. Not worth the high price to be honest. Apart from the food, the service was great. Amber was very attentive and friendly.

Went on a weekday late morning after a doctor’s appointment, so I had the morning off from work. I was excited to finally eat here, as we haven’t been able to yet! They weren’t busy but it wasn’t a normal time to be eating breakfast either. I had the cinnamon waffles and they were delish. Nice and fluffy! We had great and fast service, I’ll definitely be back.

We came for my daughter’s 8th birthday and loved the food and atmosphere! My daughter was raving about the berry pancake stack and her complimentary chocolate peanut butter pie. My candy cane lane coffee was rich and delicious and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly crispy. I’m grateful that Watertown has a cozy breakfast spot like this now, and I’m sure the food and service will continue to grow with more time and experience.

My friend and I have been wanting to try The Porch Light ever since its opening, but we decided to wait a few weeks, afraid it would be too crowded early on. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Thursday in early November. There was only one other couple there, so we were seated right away. We’d looked at the menu online beforehand, so we had an idea of what we wanted. My friend asked for the Italian chopped sandwich, but he was informed that it was no longer on the menu because “people weren’t ordering it”. However, our waitress spoke with the chef and since they still had the necessary ingredients, they could make it special for him. I asked for the daily special, a three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich. I requested coleslaw to be substituted for the fries. When my plate came out, there were fries. I mentioned my request for coleslaw, and our server pointed at a tiny cup of what looked like white liquid on my plate. Oh… their version of coleslaw. It was mostly mayonnaise, with a few uneven chunks of cabbage. It worked well as a dip for my sandwich, but not as a side. The sandwich itself was very good, with thick slices of homemade bread and yummy filling. My friend’s main dish consisted of three sliders, filled with chopped salami, pepperoni, ham, pickles, peppers and provolone. He enjoyed it. He said that the fries were very fresh. “You could tell that these were a potato this morning.” We also enjoyed a couple of their nonalcoholic specialty drinks, which change seasonally. All in all, the food is good, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff is friendly. I’d enjoy having dinner here if they had live music, like a singer with an acoustic guitar. I hope they do that in the future.

We had a lovely brunch experience at The Porch Light. We had coffee and 2 breakfast dishes. Everything tasted great. The flavors were on point, and the portions were satisfying without feeling heavy. You can tell care goes into the food.
What stood out the most for me was the service. Attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy from start to finish.
The atmosphere is one of their biggest strengths. Peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for a meaningful conversation. I was catching up with a dear friend I had not seen in a long time, and it was exactly the kind of space where you can slow down and enjoy the moment.
Overall, a great spot for brunch if you are looking for good food, excellent service, and a calm, inviting environment. I will definitely be back.

We went around 6:30pm and there was only one other small group of people. Able to sit down and get our menus right away. Waited for our food for about 25 minutes, appetizer came out at a decent time! With how dead it was I didn’t think a 25 wait time for food our was necessary in my opinion. We were told breakfast doesn’t get served that late but with how dead it was the cook could make it happen. The food was mediocre but yummy! Some menu options seemed over priced in my opinion for what you get but just my opinion! Other wise we had great service!

Not happy at all. We sat there for 20 minutes before we were even greeted. The owner stood around playing on her phone, gossiping and joking around with her friends, aka the “servers” not once did she bother to welcome us or ask us how things were. Aside from my mom and I, the restaurant was empty.
Our food was horrible, after the almost 30 minute to get it. I ordered a turkey club and my mom ordered chicken sliders. Not sure they were chicken because it didn’t look like chicken at all. My club was so pathetic looking and the lettuce on it was absolutely disgusting. Oh and my turkey club was supposed to come with French fries. When she brought it out it was just a sandwich on a huge plate…she said…did you want something with that? I said…what comes with it? She responded with…French fries come with it but I didn’t ask you if you wanted them. So I waited another 15 minutes to get fries.
When we first got there, there was three woman at the table next to us…they turned around and actually warned us. They said they were there for over an hour before they got their food and when they did get it, it was all wrong. My mom and I decided to stay and have our own opinion…we should have listened to those ladies.
Save your time and your money. Do not go here.

The Porch Light has been open for almost 2 weeks, its had some growing pains, as all new restaurants have. I have to commend the owner on a wonderful job getting it all started and dealing with all the opening issues out of her control. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain all the ups and downs they’ve delt with this first few weeks. The food was great this morning and our waitress was amazing, Jules’ mom by the way. They’ll work out the kinks as all new businesses do. This will be one of the best little spots in town. Best of luck everyone, and Jules you deserve all the success.
