We wanted something different for dinner and decided to try this spot on Hwy 99 in Tigard. So glad they were able to accommodate us without a reservation but for future visits we’ll plan ahead. The overall vibe was vibrant with live music (which was a bit loud), authentic Peruvian menu entrees, attentive service, and traditional decor. For us, it was just enough to take in and enjoy a wonderful dining experience. So, if you’re looking for something that might appeal to your food palate. Give this little gem a try.
And, as always, don’t forget to support local and small businesses in your area!

For our lunch we started off with Yuca Frita, and their dish of the day was the best of the lot. The crispy, oil-free outer layer was delicious, and the accompanying sauce was equally tasty. I would suggest adding a bit of hot sauce to enhance the flavor. The aji de gallina was also enjoyable, although the chicken on some bites felt a bit dry. The fried rice version was good and packed with seasonal vegetables. For dessert, we tried the passion fruit cheesecake, which I highly recommend trying at least a bite of.

Hands down the best ceviche of my life. I don’t say that lightly. Every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity in the food. They also have a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn, and it was incredible refreshing, unique, and so good. I 100% recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

In the steady hum of Tigard, Mi Pisco Peruvian Restaurant offers an inviting but imperfect escape into Peru. The setting is informal and comfortable, dressed with Peruvian artifacts that give the room personality without pretense. It feels lived-in rather than polishe and that works in its favor.

For lovers of Peruvian cuisine, it’s still worth a visit. The kitchen clearly aims for authenticity, and there are moments where the flavors land with confidence. But the experience doesn’t quite rise to exceptional.

The service was warm but noticeably slow. Just slow enough to test your patience if you arrive hungry.

My lamb shank had the makings of something memorable, yet it came overly salty and overcooked, sacrificing the tenderness that should define the dish.

The non-alcoholic drinks were another miss. What should have been refreshing tasted more like syrup diluted in a glass. After two sips, my body waved the white flag. It simply felt like drinking sugar water.

Atmosphere-wise, a live musician added a pleasant backdrop to the evening without overpowering the room. Parking, however, can be challenging, especially during busy hours.

And one more note: the tipping screen starting at 20% felt a bit bold given the pacing of service. Hospitality should invite generosity, not assume it.

All things considered, this is a goo but not great experience.
3 out of 5.

3 stars for me.
The ceviche was very acidic and the portion was quite large, so I couldn’t eat much of it. The yuca rellena looked great, but the flavor was more bland than expected. Nice atmosphere, but the food didn’t fully match my taste.

If I could give them 10 stars I gladly would!!!

First time in a long time I have had authentic cuisine of any kind infused with such Love, devotion, and passion. …

Food that enlivens your body, soothes your soul, and satisfies every craving.

Not to mention the colorful atmosphere and wonderful waiter (I assume everyone there is related)!

As an authentic, NATIVE, full-blooded Peruvian who lived a couple of decades in Peru from birth before moving to the USA, I can say this is the first Peruvian restaurant in Oregon that has met my expectations. Believe me, I have gone to all Peruvian restaurants in Oregon, but they all let me down. This is as authentic as it will ever get. I am amazed that they were able to accomplish what they did with foreign ingredients. So flavorful! Atmosphere and staff were excellent! Muy orgullosa de mi gente peruana 🙂 ¡Que viva el Perú, señores!

Hands down the best Peruvian food I have eaten in Oregon. My wife’s an authentic Peruvian and she agrees. I had the arroz con mariscos and the mousse de Lucuma. Both were superb. 10/10

I only marked this down because my lomo Saltado to go, the steak I requested medium rare and when I got it home it was beyond well done and hard to swallow. The flavor however was outstanding and with enough water I got the meat down but overall the flavors are great I would give this place another try. Also drinks are incredibly pricey I paid 18.00 for a margarita while I was waiting for my takeout. Service was great!
