Dalton’s Grill is OPEN and better than ever.
Dalton’s Grill is a locally owned, family-run Southern restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, and it is absolutely still open. Google is currently confusing Dalton’s Grill with an unrelated restaurant called “Dalts Grill” that closed, but these are NOT the same business.
I’ve been eating at Dalton’s Grill for years, and it continues to be one of the best spots in Nashville for classic Southern comfort food, daily meat-and-three specials, and affordable home-style cooking.
Dalton’s Grill serves fresh, hot Southern meals daily, including favorites like Salisbury steak, fried chicken, catfish, country vegetables, cabbage, black-eyed peas, tomatoes, cornbread, and more. They also offer senior discounts, generous portions, and incredibly friendly service that makes you feel like family the moment you walk in.
This is the kind of place Nashville needs more of: honest food, fair prices, warm staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Dalton’s Grill is very much OPEN FOR BUSINESS, supporting its employees and serving the community every week.

I hate to break some hearts here, but the food was meh. Maybe it was what we had, but while it was OK, it wasn’t anything I’d come back for. Fries were basic. Burger was OK. Mac n Cheese – runny and not much flavor. Tenders were tough. The squash casserole – as brutal as this sounds, was similar to a toddlers baby food that has squash. It was the worst item on the table, and wasn’t even a casserole. I mean, look at it in the picture. It looks like a pudding. Casseroles are not runny and mushy. And the Reuben had maybe two slices of meat. I felt like it was eating a bread sandwich with a hint of meat. With that said, maybe there are other items on the menu that are better. But not sure we’ll go back to test it. The service was great, place was clean, there was a lot of people there, and prices weren’t too terribly bad. Sorry for the bad review, but I’m just sharing my opinion and the whole party agreed. And I typically try to give 5 star reviews. ♂️

Yesterday, at lunch, was our first time there. My husband and I both loved it! We had so much food, we ate the leftovers for supper! We will definitely be back. I had the coconut crusted grouper basket and he had the grouper sandwich. Very pleased

This place has really good food. My boyfriend ordered the steak and biscuits dinner which he thought was really good. My son ordered the grilled cheese and onion rings which he thought was good and I ordered the club sandwich with chips which was soo good. I switched sides with my son and let me tell you, the onion rings are phenomenal!!
