Quaint Indian cafe offering a menu of traditional fare & cocktails in intimate quarters.

I stupidly ignored the reviews, don’t make the same mistake and waste your money! It was disgusting, we couldn’t even eat it. How can pilau rice go so wrong? And to make a naan bread that tastes bad too there’s no hope for the curry’s. The most bland, gross korma I’ve ever had. I never write reviews but honestly I wouldn’t eat that for free, let alone £50!

Extremely disappointed with this place. My order arrived missing a naan bread, and when I called to let them know, the person on the phone questioned me about their own menu—even though the mixed grill clearly includes a naan. The attitude was terrible, and instead of sending the missing item, they offered a free one “next time.” There won’t be a next time. The food itself was bland, and for over £18, both the quality and quantity were very poor. Definitely not worth it.

I skipped lunch today – the only reason I finished my ‘Indian’ meal from this takeaway. The most bland Indian cuisine I have ever eaten in my 40 years. Ive been lucky enough to travel to India and this isnt even close to Indian food. The sauce was more like a gravy with next to no flavour.
Sorry Cinnamon Spice, but you need to up your game when people are paying between £30-£40 for a meal for 2 people, that was for 2 ‘currys’ a shared naan and shared rice. We had chicken passanda and a lamb balti (known for a deeper flavour )

I had a takeaway from here yesterday, I ordered the food from here for the first time. As it was Christmas yesterday most of the shops were closed and I left with no choice. I ordered reshmi kebab and they brought 2 beef patties with an omelette. I called to there restaurant straight away to ask about this and the man who picked the call said it’s the reshmi kebab. I said reshmi kebab is usually made with chicken and this is beef and he said reshmi kebab is made with beef and just hung up the phone. I tried the beef patty and it was horrible I didn’t ate it after one bite, because it had very disgusting taste. After send the wrong food they didn’t apologise and just hung up the phone with out any explanations. I will never order from this restaurant again

Really fresh tasting and great flavours. The best takeaway in Hastings and St. Leonards by far – especially since the relocation and switch to takeaway only. I really can’t rate the food and service high enough – it’s a must try!!!

Loved the chicken tikka masala, tandoori king prawn, garlic naan and mango lassi that I’ve ordered. The restaurant gets busy at night as they get many orders via delivery so there may be quite a wait. Food didn’t disappoint, I’ve been here twice!

First of all I would like to say this is one of the worst Indians I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never been here before and I’ve heard good things about it from friends but it was absolutely appalling, when we walked in there was no staff for about 20 minutes of us being there (we had to go knock on the kitchen door). The way the “waiter” was dressed was extremely unprofessional. The plates was dirty, the curry tasted like powder and the chicken was pink inside and there was a man that worked there who looked like he hasn’t washed in about 6 months just sat next to us the entire time. Now I can see why the place was empty. Don’t even bother wasting your time or money. Ocean spice, balti but and bay spice all deliver excellent services and are clean and the food is 10000x better there.

I have never been a curry person until I met my English husband. What a world, what a food I’ve been missing! Couldn’t be more grateful for his patience; he introduced me to this amazing food first with with chicken tikka masala and mushroom rice but because we were so stranded indoor in the last 2 years we actually got through the whole variety of dishes that Cinnamon Spice in St.Leonards offers and became regulars, together with friends and family.
The food is absolutely delicious and the very generous portions are coming perfectly packed in a hot take away (never spilled, always hot and ready to serve). The variety of dishes can satisfy even the fussiest of eaters.
It’s a great option when cooking dinner at home would take too long or when we want to indulge ourselves with something good.
The place has been rated for food hygiene as Very Good (5) as well that makes us trust it even more.
Thank you Cinnamon Spice!
