I ordered take-out yesterday, ordering half chicken dark meat among other items, but only received one drumstick and one thigh for the chicken.

So pretty much got a quarter chicken instead of the half I ordered and payed for. I tried calling the number posted and got no response back.

Make sure you check that you get what you ordered.

Food is pretty good though, especially the plantains.

It’s sad to leave these types of review but the chicken, yuca and the salad were probably the worst I’ve ever had. Even the green sauce were bland. I advise the management to make some changes as this is way below average Peruvian food.

They are just destroying this famous restaurant. It used to be my daily restaurant. Now I don’t even feel to go there. In every sector their cost cutting is noticeable. Food is not like it used to be. Also they reduced portions. One of the thing, ( beef with broccoli) its about $20 food , in that 80% is broccoli, 15% beef. Lost all the interest.

My wife and I had our weekly lunch date. The decor isn’t inspiring, but I didn’t expect it to be. The menu is more varied than I realized, and the food came surprisingly quickly. We both got 1/4 dark, hers with fries and garbanzo beans, mine with yucca and pintos. Fries and pintos were good. Neither of us liked the garbanzos. Some spice didn’t agree with either of us. Service was quick, and there was a monitor showing the status of online orders. Food is Halal, which is important to many. I’ll be happy to go back.

So glad I ran across this place. I wanted to place a very large order as I was hosting a gathering at my house. I went in an afternoon a couple of days before. Everyone spoke great English. The chicken, mixed vegetables, black beans, chicken fried rice and of course fried plantains were all hits. Everything was ready on time and put into sealed aluminum pans. Many wanted to know where I got the food. We will certainly be back.

I love going to small “hole-in-the-wall” places and this gives a similar vibe. Overall, most of the food I had (dark meat 1/4, rice, and plantains) was just “okay”. Nothing to write home about. Now, while I was there I also had the churros and these were AMAZING. They make them fresh to order and I would go back just for those, but I would skip getting anything else.

Amazing quality food at an extremely fair price point, which is rare nowadays.

The whole chicken and chicken fried rice were delicious – perfectly cooked and seasoned. Portions were beyond generous.

Highly recommend this spot.

I used to love this place, Madina Pollo used to be my go to spot. It has really gone down hill some months back when they got a new owner. The taste is not the same and they barely put any meat in the burritos/quesadillas! Muy codo. I will be looking elsewhere.

Located off Alabama drive in Herndon, this gem hidden away in a semi residential and commercial area in the community is Madina Pollo Reina. I was looking forward to eating in this location when I discovered in Google Maps. It’s relatively a medium sized eatery that can’t seat a decent size group. Decorated in a red and white theme with the company’s logo, with efficient table placements and chair. As you walk in you can see the freshly prepared foods under an overhead display with the current menu. I decided to order the orange chicken with rice and my drinks. As I waited, the business associate was prepping the tables for customers that wood be coming in. I was personally really to beat the lunch crowd. I like to soak in the atmosphere of the restaurant and outside activity to gauge the business during its low to high volume traffic. Once, I received my order I observed the packaging of my meal, which was nicely prepared in compact plastic and Styrofoam containers. The food was perfectly heated to a temperature I could immediately begin to eat without worry of burning myself. The orange chicken was good and the rice was cooked with the consistency I am familiar with. I was surprised with the portions as each chicken bite was large, crispy and covered evenly with the orange flavored sauce. Overall, a great place to dine in our order out. You week not be disappointed with the orange chicken platter. I know I wasn’t.

Was visiting the area and like to try the local places. Ask a few folks while walking around if this place was good and they said it was. Very delicious charbroiled chicken. Definitely char flavor verses typical rotisserie taste you will find elsewhere. I mixed the picked onions and carrots/jalapeños with the potatoe salad… Throw the green hot sauce on that and it is spectacular. Great local choice!
