Specifically got off our cruise ship to enjoy a crab roll at Red Herring, given the wonderful reviews. Took an earlier shuttle bus to town and walked around the galleries until 11 o’clock, had a great snow crab sandwich and enjoyed the visit to Sitka. Weather was a little cold and rainy, nice to have sheltered canopy while eating. On the way out, back on the bus, nice to see a decent line firming at this food truck. Staff was kind and friendly, set up and opened for business on time, and made a delicious crab roll. Will be back on my next trip.

Please do not waste your time on Halibut fish and chips. Not sure what they were using but not Halibut. Not cod either. Fries/fish tasted like it was time to change the oil. Cannot recommend

This has been a go-to spot every time I’m in Sitka. The food is always great; I got a crab roll and their wild blueberry yerba mate, both of which I recommend. The Red Herring has great food and great vibes. I’ll definitely be back.

We tried Red Herring today when we had a stop from our cruise. We tried the crab roll (delicious), reindeer sausage (amazing) and the blueberry ice tea (more please!). Everything was spectacular, truly. The quality and freshness of the food is obvious and the flavors are *chef’s kiss*. The people running the truck are very kind too. Thanks guys! Wish I could find them back home!

Saw the big line and decided it was worth the try… Let me tell you it was most definitely worth the wait! Forgot to take a photo of the food but the crab sandwich was delicious!!! Also got the blueberry Yerba mate and that was a delight on the sunny day. If you are stopping in on a cruise this is a must stop!

If you’re in Sitka and like shellfish OMG THIS SANDWICH IS DELISH! I was here for a week and made sure to stop by twice, and the blueberry sweet tea is a PERFECT paring! (And it isn’t super sweet either!) service is incredible, they have a table that is covered and clean, and it’s easily accessible! Keep up the great work!

I was in Sitka for a few days and tried a lot of the food trucks! This one was hands down the best one I ate at. I ordered the crab roll and the blueberry sweet tea. Both were amazing!!! I would recommended this 10/10 for anyone looking for great food in Sitka!
