I had the “special biryani” which was topped with Chicken 65. Being somewhat of a spicy foods fanatic, I wanted to try the dish at an 8 or 9 out of 10 (spicy scale), but the woman suggested I go with 5 as I’d not been there before.
It was fairly spicy, and I can see why the lady thought it would be spicy enough for me, but I’ll definitely go with a 9 next time.
—>Unless you eat scorpion peppers, reapers, etc…listen to the woman and stick with 5. Don’t mess up your meal because you’re cocky.<---
The biryani was some of the best i’ve had, with at least three full chicken legs cooked into it.
Combined with the Chicken 65 on top, it was a massive amount of food for $20. More than half was left after I was finished.
I also had the chicken momos, fried. Those were also excellent.
How does this compare to Curry Gate? Pretty much identical, as they’ll soon be changing their name to Curry Gate, adding another location to their local chain.
Meal took about 12 minutes to come to my table, much less time than expected.
The people were very nice and happy to see the customers. The place was clean and would have been quiet had there not been a loud exercise class next door.

Absolutely delicious food. I always get the aloo gobi and palak paneer. You can tell everything is made from scratch. The aloo gobi is stewed with spices and tomato to give an amazing layered, savory flavor. The cauliflower and potatoes are cooked to where there’s still the slightest give but it’s soft and inundated with flavor. The palak paneer is so comforting, it makes me feel like I ate a hearty, comforting, home-cooked meal every time. Highly recommend getting it spicy to contrast with the creaminess of the sauce. The spice isn’t one of those spicy flavors that is spice without flavor, in the palak paneer it’s like a tasty jalapeno tasting spice that really enhances the dish. The paneer is nice and firm and tasty. Consistently tasty and great big portions.

The butter chicken was very very good, naan was delicious, rice was meh, dry but not a deal breaker. However, the wait to get food was long, what was the REAL problem I had with the place was the server was gone all the time. People came in waited, then left because the server were gone for so long. Besides the missing sever, the food was good.

This is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Charlotte (previously named King of Spicy). Don’t let the unassuming facade fool you! Everything I’ve gotten here is so delicious and spicy! Palak paneer, dal makhni, and paneer tikka are my favorite. They also have by far the best naan at any Indian/nepali restaurant around.

Our go-to Indian restaurant. We always order chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, lamb biryani, and garlic naan – always so satisfying! The lady manning the counter is always very pleasant and friendly and treats us like VIP!

Delicious, yummy food. More of a place to get to- go food. The bathrooms were clean though so that was good. There isn’t a lot of decor. The appeal is the flavorful food. I had tikka masala with goat and my husband had butter chicken. We also had the garlic naan bread. Everything was delicious!!

Catching up on reviews. I had dinner from here via Uber Eats on Wednesday, 09-07-22. Had another hectic day with work & everything else. This order had enough food to cover me for dinner & lunch the following day.
I love Indian food. I also love cheese & will typically order Tikka Masala Paneer to get a feel of the restaurant. Since I was able to specify the spice level, I chose 10. I was given plenty of rice.
I chose to experiment & try some of the desserts. They had more available than I usually see on menus at Indian restaurants. I really enjoyed the Gajar Halwa. I love carrots, so it was good to get a different taste of them. I only gave 3 stars instead of 4 is because of what seemed to be plastic mixed in. I’m not sure if a fork broke or what, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience to be chewing & coming across what you see on top of the containers in the pictures
The Gulab Jamun was ok. Probably wouldn’t order it again. I really love cheese so I enjoyed the Rasmalai. I’d order it again. Aside from whatever was going on with the Gajar Halwa, I did enjoy my order. I haven’t decided if I’d order from here again.

The flavors of the dishes were decent, but they didn’t quite meet our expectations. Our waitress was helpful in guiding us through the menu options, enhancing our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the portion sizes were generous. However, the Mango Lassi was a letdown.

Although not a lot for variety, the quality is outstanding! My husband doesn’t like palak paneer and this place made him change his mind. His favorite was the noodles. Awesome service and tasty food. Don’t change anything!
