First time customer and my family will definitely go back. All our food tastes fresh, the salsa was actually spicy which I love and the service was amazing.

I ended up ordering the 3 chicken flautas meal, & 2 soft tacos; 1 Cabeza + 1 Lengua. 2 cans of orange soda. Total came to $29 + some change

The rice was soft and fresh tasting. The refried beans decent – better than typical canne-like beans other places seem to use.

The chicken that is inside the flautas seems of a decent quality, however I did need to add salt.. I wish the chicken was seasoned more. The tortilla for the flautas was crispy and not some cheap pre frozen assembly. I can tell they made the flautas in house. But, most places do include a dollop of guacamole + sour creme with their flautas, this has only a small amt of liquid sour cream swirled at the base beneath the lettuce cojita cheese and diced tomatoes on top – as watered down as the sour creme is – it may as well not even be there at all. The house salsa is ok – it has sort of a fire roasted taste to it but, its not terribly powerful in flavor other than that.

The 2 soft tacos – essentialy street tacos but a little smaller – were not terribly discernible from one or the other, they pretty much tasted the same, except perhaps the cabeza had a slight gamey flavor, which i personally didnt hate. However for $3/taco, they dont include what street tacos would include out of a food truck – no sliced fresh reddish, no grilled or even pickled pepper on the side. Also, the salsa verde thry use on the tacos is pretty underwhelming as well…

So overall I feel the meal was pretty bland, still not awful. Im just looking for that punch of flavor Mexican food is known for. And while this place is ok, its just not great. Thry need to kick up those seasonings & include a spicy grilled pepper or something.

Besides the food, the service and the atmosphere was fantastic, inviting and friendly. While I was eating a local likely refular woman came in and spoke with the cashier fella and informed him she ordered this decent sized meal yesterday but only had $15 cash to pay for it, & she wanted to pay for the rest today. I guess they could tell she was financially struggling so they told her not to worry about it. That is very kind of them.

So id say I would return if im in the area again, not necessarily for the food but its owners clearly care about their community and are decent people and I enjoy supporting that kind of service.

I just wish they’d come up woth a better – more spicy punchy flavorful salsa, because i always say, salsa can totally make or break a Mexican meal.

Wow can’t believe we just discovered this place. You know a taqueria is good when police officers are sitting down for dinner.

We took our food to go and cashier was friendly.

We got the Al pastor tacos and carnitas burrito. Both meats were flavorful. They threw in a super spicy hot sauce and it’s not for the weak of heart. Would definitely be back.

I was craving to eat some burritos . In the past few weeks, I have been trying burritos from different restaurants. Some were good and other not so. Then I tried to search in Google and put in ,where can I find the Best Burrito near me. And Taqueria Mar y Tierra appeared . I read the reviews, and almost all reviews were positive. I immediately got up and went there. The restaurant was not facing the road, so you have to enter the parking lot to see the entrance of the place. As you enter the door, you will be warmly greeted by one of the staff and assist you to a table. The place was old but very cozy. They have lots of awesome paintings or portraits of Frida Kahlo. I love their decorations it really displayed their heritage . And I am a big fan of the arts ,that’s why the ambiance solicited a 5 star rating from me. You can really feel the Latino spirit from the music to the furniture and especially the displays on the walls . It really fascinated me. The staff was very friendly. They offer free Nachos and dip while waiting for the order. I ordered the Super Burrito, and I chose the Al Pastor Pork . For drinks, I ordered Jugos Naturales, basically it’s freshly squeezed orange juice. The Burritos is the best that I have tasted so far. The pork was marinated to perfection and had all the flavors mixed together and complimented each other. The way it was cooked was just right because the pork maintained its tenderness . The size is big and the price is affordable. My cravings were satisfied. These burritos went beyond my expectations. I recommend this restaurant not only for the Mexican ambiance but the food is awesome.

Went here for dinner and the food was nice. Taco salad was good but very oily. Servant was also very kind. Complimentary nachos were good and the salsa was tasty and spicy.
One less point for the presence of a few mosquitoes.

Great service and portion sizes.

They give you homemade chips with your order when dining in, and it comes with some HOT sauce. Very tasty, but take it easy on that spicy sauce or your intestines may complain later!

I was actually craving a breakfast burrito, which they are too authentic to serve (lol), and the lady at the front suggested that I make one by adding eggs and sausage to their customizable super burritos. It was a bit pricey to do this, the burrito was folded inefficiently such that I got a ton of tortilla in some places, and the fillings were a little unevenly distributed throughout. Honestly, there wasn’t that much flavor in it, either. All of the ingredients in a normal burrito were present, so I think it’s a good sample of what you’d get, and wouldn’t recommend coming here for a burrito. That said, it was enormous! I don’t like reheating burritos because they get soggy, so I didn’t want to save part of it for later, though.

If you come here, I’d suggest being reasonable and trying one of their many authentic and delicious-looking plates, photos of which are posted around their interior walls.

Rating is for the stomachache I got later on, and for the meh burrito I was recommended.
