They raised their sweet tea prices.. this was the ONE place I could count on for a GOOD TEA at a GOOD PRICE! Your drinks were probably the biggest part of bringing me in for business, I’d like to compare your drinks to the “Costco Chicken Theory” loose money here, to make money there..!

This place is always amazing and makes food perfect and fresh no preservatives, and they have the best flavored teas in town that no place store or restaurants can beat no bad aftertaste no flavor powder no tea layers at the bottom on your cup nothing just pure bomb tea and you can’t beat the tea deal of 92 cents when it’s like that. Stake Express is where it’s at for food and drinks. As well as a very impeccable staff in both locations but especially here in Midland they are always in smiles you can tell they love there job.

✏️ I ordered a surprise steak dinner for my s/o Birthday dinner to be delivered to his hotel room since he’s having to work out of town in Midland & couldn’t be home. It’s been a rough week, and we’ve had some bad news and hard hits lately but I can’t thank ALL of the staff of Texas Express, specifically Ashley (the GM) all the way to the delivery guy enough! All I can say is they DEFINITELY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! ☺️ They even threw in a free peach cobbler for his birthday! #YouRock We were on FaceTime when the delivery guy (sorry idk his name) arrived and gave him the order he said “Happy Birthday man!” My s/o said that was cool as hell! He got back in the room and saw where they wrote on the outside of the bag (just as I requested online when placing the order) “Happy Birthday -The best is yet to come! ❤️” This MADE HIS DAY, and he was smiling from ear to ear for the first time I’ve seen in days. I was even on FT crying like it was my birthday it was just super sweet of them all to do that and I can’t thank them enough. You never know what someone is going though, and little things like this mean so much after all we’ve been dealing with this past week. ❤️ So I highly recommend y’all to order Steak Express on West Illinois in Midland, their food is on point #Delicious and the team of workers there really went above and beyond which is hard to find now days. My wife just brought home some burgers. Very small burgers for the price and we got ours with potato chips. Overpriced as if it was good quality.

We got a double cheeseburger grilled chicken and well done steak tips with a loaded bake potatoe. Well didn’t get no steak tips it was a steak still bleeding no toppings for the loaded bake potatoe. And they forgot one of the cheese cakes. We paid $80 something dollars for a dinner that really sucked . We always steak express once a month never had a bad meal or experience but this time the food and service really sucked.

I went for two kid burgers, a backed potatoes, and a side of ribs. I got evry thing except my baked potato. I called them and told them and they said that they would happily replace it the next time I go. The food was warm, not cold, and it was very tasty. The only thing is that it is a little expensive.

My only wish is that I could have eaten my dinner there. Besides that, everything was great! I ordered the lunch menu steak tips, added 6 sauteed shrimp and sauteed mushrooms and onions. I got a small side salad with it and opted for the loaded baked potato. I also chose the peach iced tea. Steak tips were well seasoned and tender (even after driving back to my hotel). Shrimp was seasoned well and sauteed perfectly and I’m not sure what they marinated the mushrooms and especially the onions with but they were absolutely packed with flavor. Could be balsamic or red wine vinegar among other things. “Loaded” baked potato wasn’t exactly loaded, everything was put on the side but came with butter, sour cream, bacon bits and cheese. A potato is a potato is a potato….kind of hard to set yourself apart with a baked potato, maybe a dash of course sea salt on the outside then wrapped would help but delicious nevertheless and the peach tea was very peachy and very delicious and refreshing. Woman who greeted me and took my order was courteous and very helpful with the menu, another gentleman who I assume was kitchen help assured me that the order was coming up soon and the gentleman preparing my order was courteous and all thanked me for stopping by as I left. Got all that for under $30, If I could give 10 starts I definitely would.

It’s been 2 years since I’ve been to KD’s. The food is still excellent. The meats are very flavorful and very lean, a high quality product. The cobbler is still delicious whether you like peach or cherry. On a side note the potato salad is not the same. It does not have a richer hearty flavor it’s rather sour. The beans are good. I know prices are going up but it seemed a bit high. Both me and my son we got two slices of brisket one scoop of sausage a small container of cobbler and the total came out to be over $50. We did not get drinks in this price. This was just a bit higher than I expected. It used to be the meal this size would have cost about 30 to $35. But on a good note the staff is very friendly the service is very prompt and polite and the restaurant is very clean. Good job and be proud of the food you serve. It was very delicious with the exception of the new potato salad.

Very rude service when picking up my order. I thought they didn’t hear me so I backed up to make the buzzer go off again and the lady comes out yelling at me about how she’s one person. I get that you’re one person but you expect me to know that? And that is NOT how you treat customers especially if you want them to come back and not ask for the manager next time. Don’t yell at your customers!!
