If you go understanding this is a New York style Italian-American eatery, then expectations will be met, although the pizza misses the mark. Wouldn’t consider it a pizzeria per se. Very informal, small conveniently located restaurant with American pasta classics from spaghetti & meatballs to fettuccine Alfredo with a variety of other dishes, subs, & pizzas.

Dishes are prepared in rich, heavy sauces with quite a few fried options. Overall, menu is not for the light eater but this makes for a great value if you’re more focused on budget than health, rich flavors over waistline. To my surprise, entrees are especially budget-friendly as they’re served with a fresh salad & giant garlic knots, & portions are big enough for leftovers. Small but appropriate beer & wine menu. Casual but buttoned up vibe, could be good for low light date night or friend catch up session.

Service was attentive & friendly but hurried. There’s no hostess stand at entrance or clarification if it’s a self seating situation but host eventually greeted me & escorted me to a table while I waited for the server Joanna. Definitely did not like the cash discount thing, gives schemey vibes. Sure, next time I’ll pay cash but guess what, I won’t spend as much. It’s basic shopping psychology.

Dining room was half full mid week during peak dinner time so assume they get pretty busy on the weekends. Seating is tight with a couple outside tables on the front walkway. Not thrilled that an employee from a neighboring business came & sat down outside where I was seated to smoke what seemed like an endless cigarette, smoke wafting in my face with every bite.

I would return if I’m ever in the mood for their heavy menu since there are limited options in Town & Country for American non-fast food. Would even return just for a glass of wine or a pint al fresco.

We were new trying this restaurant we walked in and was told pick our table. We sat down the two ladies were very loud talking about how they were disgruntle about their schedule we almost got up and left. But the server finally came over and gave us menus very nice. We ordered gf pizza, pizza and egg plant parmesan. All was excellent. The egg plant came with salad and too die for bread knots. We will be back.

We generally have had great experiences with meals here, not sure what happened last night. We ordered a Sicilian pizza and it arrived fully burnt, inedible. There needs to be some sort of quality control for dishes being sent to customers, no way this pie should have made its way out the door. Still, given good experiences in the past, we will try again.

Dinner was great. We ordered chicken florentine and pasta and clams. The chicken was very tender with lots of cheese and some artichokes and a little spinach served over a lemon sauce that was very good. For the pasta and clams the clams were served in the shell which was a really nice touch. The sides a cup of soup and garlic knots were plentiful. I order the tiramisu for dessert and it probably was the best I’ve had in Tampa.

Went here to dine in with 2 other adults and 2 toddlers. Overall it was a pretty good experience. The service was slow and lacking though, and I’m fairly certain they forgot part of the order because the last thing to come out was the kids pizza, which really kind of ruined the experience for us, since our toddlers were screaming for food. There appeared to only be one waitress though. The pizza itself was good (we got the steak pizza) and the marinara was tasty. The atmosphere was fine. We’ll probably return for the food but likely only for take out.

I don’t order pizza from just anywhere. Me being a Chef and from Chicago, I like to order ONLY from amazing places. I’ve lived in Tampa about 5 months now and have been ordering from Marcos and have never been disappointed the handful of times I ordered. I searched Reviews and Pizzitalia had the same reviews as Marcos, SO I decided to give them a try. As soon as I opened the box it was underwhelming. Skimpy on the toppings was the first thing I noticed. Then I grabbed a slice it the outer part (like 2-3 inches was crunchy), the rest of the pie was mushy. I continued to eat it and try to find the great flavors and enjoy at least the outer part. Gotta do a better job cooking it more so the center cooks more. The flavor was better than average. I hate leaving bad reviews to place that has such high ratings of satisfaction, but in my case very light on a the toppings for a supreme that’s a 14″ pie for $20. I definitely didn’t get the toppings I payed for either.

Loved the topping. Dough was a little too thick for my preference. Maybe that’s the way the Sicilian is supposed to be? Otherwise very good.

When I first Pizzitalia I was shocked I never heard about this place before! It’s a gem hidden just down the road, and deserves to be shared with the Tampa community! The prices are so reasonable, for the size, quality, and quantity of the food. The service was excellent, so welcoming and friendly.
I had the stuffed shells, which were amazing! You get a choice of a side, and bread. I highly recommend and will be coming here again!

It’s a cute little Italian restaurant with excellent food! This was a take out order, when we walked in the girl by the counter smiled and asked if I was here for a take out order. I said yes and my name. The tables were covered with the traditional red and white tablecloths. The food was very good, we are going back to try more menu items!!

100% absolutely authentic Delicious Italian food!! One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in years. they also offer outside dining . I felt like I was back home in south Philadelphia again. Maria, our waitress was absolutely a delight. She was full of energy, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that loves Italian cuisine.
