My experience here was not as pleasant as it has been in other Nordstrom Cafe Locations. The lady taking my order was extremely rude, the waiter seemed in a hurry and annoyed every time we asked for condiments etc. The food was ready in minutes. The whole crew made it seem like we were bothering them even though it was 40 minutes till closing time?!

I use to recommend and eat here all the time. My husband decided he would pick soup up for myself and my son were both sick. It normally comes with two pieces of bread when you order the bowel and we ordered additional for each bowel. When he got home we discovered that there was one piece of bread to share with each bowel and the extra that we paid for were missing. The soup was cold and did not taste good at all. We called to ask what happened and were told as we ordered it online they could not refund us for the additional bread that we paid for. I should have trusted my gut and have my husband pick up soup from Whole Foods instead of overpriced soup from a clothing company…. My bad. It’s an over price cafeteria..

Ordered the Asian chicken salad to go. The chicken was rubbery, and the portion was so small and just thrown together. Very disappointing since I used to really enjoy lunch at Nordstroms Cafe. I hope they get it together.

What a joy! A quiet place to eat the most delicious food! My server was the sweetest man. He was attentive. My food was hot and was freshly made. Went to Cafe Bistro today and was very disappointed with the quality of food the shrimp was burnt and dry. I sent it back and got it returned to me a little bit better but was still burnt and dry. I have been a costumer of cafe bistro since they first opened and have never had an experience like this before! I Hope it can go back to how it was before, because I really enjoy going.

You’d probably be surprised to know that the restaurant inside the Nordstrom department store is actually very, very tasty. I know I was!
I wasn’t really aware Cafe Bistro was actually worth stopping into until my dad took me there a few months ago. He always raved about the food. I thought to myself: “How can a restaurant inside a department store be THAT good?” I had figured it was probably a dumpy sandwich place where the food was mediocre.
Boy, was I wrong.
First off, the restaurant is located on the second floor. You give your order to a cashier and then you are seated at a table or a booth in the cafe. It’s not particularly big, but I’ve never seen it super crowded so there’s always been a place to sit.
The waiter brought us our drinks and then we waited a little bit until my dad’s French onion soup came out. I got to have quite a bit of the French onion soup and it’s some of the best I’ve had, maybe behind Berns but ahead of the rest. The cheese is melted to a crusty perfection on the bowl and the soup is just salty enough without the taste being too overpowering.
I usually order the salmon but I substitute the risotto for vegetables. The salmon is a perfect portion size — not too big but not too small, either. All the vegetables I’ve had have been cooked pretty well and aren’t too tough or too mushy from being cooked for too long. The butter sauce that comes with the salmon is divine.
I have yet to try many other things on the menu, and still haven’t gotten around to the desserts at Cafe Bistro, but everything I’ve tried so far has been really tasty and basically everyone I’ve ever gone with has said the same.
Pricing is typical mid-tier pricing and service is usually really friendly and speedy.
Definitely worth the stop and a good alternative to the chain “mall restaurants” you’ll find elsewhere!

I don’t know if management has changed but the service at The restaurant upstairs lately has been so poor. Was standing at the register trying to order food for more than 10 min. Then once someone came over they had such a bad attitude. Not the first time either. Also tried calling ahead to avoid that interaction and still such a bad attitude over the phone. Won’t be going there anymore. Not worth it
