La Calle Arepas Bar is truly a hidden gem in Connecticut! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, vibrant, and welcoming. The food is absolutely AMAZING — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love.

The empanadas are perfectly crispy, with generous, delicious fillings that taste authentic and homemade. Every bite is packed with flavor! The cachapas and tequeños were also incredible, and the sauces just take everything to another level.

You can really tell they care about quality and authenticity. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience made us feel like we were enjoying a little trip to Venezuela without leaving CT.

If you’re looking for incredible Venezuelan food, this is the place. We will definitely be back! ✨

I have been there a couple of times. The service is great and the food delicious. I dive 4/5 bc the last time I went the food was a little too salty but in general is tasty and good portions

La Calle has to be one of the best hidden gem spots ever! This restaurant is hands down one of the best restaurants and I absolutely love the food. I’ve been coming here since 2021. When you walk in you just instantly feel at home. I always feel like I’m part of the family. The Reina chips come out and it’s a hot green plantain with avocado and chicken dip is amazing! I try my best not to finish it because I know I have to save room for the main course but it’s hard. You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes there. My personal favorite drink is the Guarapita! Delicious!

Been following this restaurant through social media for a couple of years and I finally decided to pay it a visit from NY. Never had Venezuelan food, but the food did not disappoint these taste buds. Everything was delicious and our server and the manager there were such friendly people. The dessert was not pictured (we ordered churros) because the kids immediately finished it. It was fluffy and crispy and tasty. Whenever we come to CT again, I’ll definitely pay this place a visit again.

A piece of home away from home ❤️ Originally from Mérida, Venezuela, I’ve lived in CT for a little over 2 years now and this is where me and my partner (also Venezuelan) go to celebrate special occasions, or just whenever we feel like having a taste of home! We’ve brought our American friends and they all love their food too (especially the arepas—they have a thing for their Reina Pepiada haha) but everything—appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks— I’ve had have been delicious! We will literally drive about an hour each time to go say hi and have some of those yummy tequeños lol

I cannot pick one thing only but last time we went we ordered some of the arepitas saladas for the first time and they were SO so good. The chicha is also excellent. From the food to the service, they offer a great, heart-warming experience, making you feel at home from the second you walk in. They are always happy and excited to provide good eats and a wonderful time! Go try them out so you can see for yourself 🙂

Gracias La Calle Arepas bar ❤️ son los mejores!

Wouldn’t recommend. All the right ingredients but bad cooking. Steak with mushroom sauce was average and not presented in an appetizing way. Arepa was small. High prices for SoNo. Lots of good options in the area to not go here. Staff was also a bit rude and felt like they were having a hard time understanding English or Spanish

An absolute gem.
Stopped by for the first time 8/2 and here I am again on 8/5 with my girl in all with the amazing food. The empanadas de pollo are great. What makes it a great spot is how clean it is walking in you don’t even smell the grease lmao you know what I mean when you go somewhere and you’re like damn how long ago was the oil changed NOPES not an issue here

Absolutely delicious. I travel to this area for work and this is my new favorite go to spot. Great price, incredible food, fresh ingredients & friendly servers. You can smell and hear the food cooking in the kitchen which makes the atmosphere even better. Very authentic.

Steak and cheese arepa was the star, so crispy, juicy steak, cheese seared. I could eat it dinner every time. The other arepa was decent, it just had the mistake of going second, shredded beef felt slightly dry.

It was al little pricier than expected, the steak was 14 and the shredded beef was 11.

Will be back to try other dishes!
