Beautiful lake side views! Everything we ordered was great and hit the spot after a long day of hiking. Highly recommend the fish and chips and honey glazed wings. Big fan of their beer battered fries. The burger wasn’t anything special but was decent. We got lucky with our door balcony seating and just walked in but might get busier during peak seasons. Would return when we’re back in town!

5.15.25 sitting outdoors with the amazing views of Mirror Lake made our visit that much more special. The tri color tortellini with grilled chicken was flavorful and delicious. The fish & chips were just ok compared to other restaurants. The fries were fried too much, and the fish didn’t have much flavor. The service was great. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would definitely dine here again.

I know you see the ratings and wonder why I only gave 2 overall. The service was THAT bad. The Hostess did a nice job, it was downhill from there. The Server came to the table then seemed annoyed or irritated for some reason. She took our order but gave the impression she didnt want to. Once we had everything, she didnt come back. She spent her time chatting with patrons she apparently knew. That wouldn’t be so bad if she would have continued to do her job. When we mentioned the service was bad, she became sarcastically nice. As we were leaving, my Wife was ready to go she accidentally left her purse. The same Server brought it out to her while we were standing out front. The whole interaction is one best experienced to understand our displeasure. Bottom line, we will not be going back there again. I didn’t even leave her a tip. I wrote a note on the receipt about ways she could have done better. The name on the receipt is Alma, not sure if that’s who was signed into the register or if thats her name.

My husband , parents and my two little girls stopped in for lunch today. Two women servers were very rude and told us they could not accommodate a party of six. We said no problem we could split up into two tables. They then told us that there was nowhere to put our stroller and refused to seat us. Unacceptable and rude!!!!

Players is one of our favorite places to dine at in Lake Placid. Both the menu and food are great. The atmosphere here is very laid back, and most importantly, the views of Mirror Lake from the deck are fantastic. We have eaten here on every visit to the area. Highly recommended!

This place was dynamite…saved the night. Subjectively, we tried 4 places on Main Street and were turned away because they were “too busy”….after trekking 0° temps and 20mph winds I’m not kidding when I say they saved the night. Now completely objectively speaking, the food was amazing. Great NY Strip, chicken Alfredo was the best I’ve had, salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly. The cocktail menu is also phenomenal. Finished the night with an Irish coffee to warm up before our trek back down Main Street in the cold. We were visiting so I can’t speak to the consistency but I can’t wait to come back.

Atmosphere was nice but the staff is rude and terrible. If I could rate a negative star for service, I would. I stopped by at 2pm on a Friday for a drink while my family waited for a dog sled ride on the lake. There were two families eating and two other people at the bar, so very quiet. There were three waitresses and one bartender. I got one drink and never saw the bartender again. She walked around the dining area talking to her friend on her cell phone. After 10 mins of waiting for a second drink, I tracked her down in the employee area off to the side. Asked if I could get another drink, she gave me an ugly look, rolled her eyes at me and told me she’d be there soon. I will not return to this place.

We had the chicken Caesar salad, The trout dinner, the NY Strip and the lobster ravioli. My Josh Merlot and espresso martini were divine. The meals came out hot and quickly they were absolutely delicious as well. The server was attentive and pleasant.

Such a great experience out on the beautifully lite dining room, literally on Mirror Lake! Food was amazing, great menu and service. Warm atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
