I’ve stopped here twice on roadtrips (10/1024 and 12/2025). The coffee has been great each time. They don’t have 2% but they can make it with whole milk & skim milk. They have quite a lot of searing inside. They sell beans to take home as well.

i recently visited the Blackbird Coffee at 114 W Hancock St, in Milledgeville, GA. I spent a nice morning having a coffee and a baked good while I was in town. The service was very good, the shop was very clean and had a nice decor. It’s looks like a great place to come and relax, get a coffee and open up your computer and spend some time at.

Did order any food. The glorious smell of fresh brewed coffee tickles your senses when you walk in. It’s a quaint shop focusing on real coffee, but they also offer smoothies, ice cream, and a few treat options. It’s beautifully decorated with art that may be original and possibly local artist, but I’m not sure. There’s also merch for purchase. You can sit the back area with a coffee and a treat while you work or surf the web, or you can enjoy the weather in the small sitting area out front. The exposed brick and ceiling, along with the old school equipment makes for a unique experience. Music was playing at a very comfortable level. Easy place to sit back, work or socialize.

Blackbird Coffee has amazing coffee—I got the crème brûlée and it was so good. It’s a really nice place to study and hang out, and the staff is absolutely amazing. They’re always friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions.
My only complaint is the downstairs area—it really stinks. I sat down there for about two hours and ended up leaving with a huge migraine, which was a bummer. Other than that, it’s a great spot with excellent coffee and great service.

A lovely place for a nice coffee or smoothie but food? Well, its decent, I suppose. Their scones are quite hard around the corners making it unworthy of almost $5 when you may lose a tooth biting into it.
They do have excellent Green machine smoothies though.

Blackbird is a Milledgeville staple. I enjoyed hanging out and studying on the plush leather couches when I was a student, and I still love to stop in and grab my go-to order of an iced honey nut soy latte whenever I’m in town. Jimmy and Co have a gem here with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, excellent coffee, and an atmosphere that’s perfect for hitting a deadline or taking a load off.

A gem in downtown Milledgeville. I was previously disappointed with the service here and swore it off for a good while. Came back to give it a try again and the service has been much better, friendly and kind. Drinks have all been really great too. My girls loved the sparkler and said it was really refreshing. My go to would either be an iced vanilla latte with oat milk or the affogato (espresso and ice cream you cannot go wrong). Come give it a try
