My honest opinion of this place is it’s super cute. The front end is definitely a lot more private than the back end. The middle area has less lighting and is very cozy and where we sat was a lot of light. Our server was great. They always made sure you had water which is nice. I definitely think it was overpriced. I think it was like $85 for two drinks and two shots and an extremely small appetizer of four or five small little pretzels. I would not return but was super cute place.

I love it here! The vibe is very lowkey and chic. The food is very expensive but it’s good. I would load up before going. The Vanilla Salt on the Aperol Jell-O shot is something to write home about! Kara, Erica, Eric and Jo are top tier bartenders and they provided immaculate service! See ya soon Silver Lyan!

One word: Aperol Spritz Jell-O shots… with a Champagne chaser.

Silver Lyan absolutely delivers on creativity and execution. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’re in on something special — intimate, stylish, and just a little mischievous in the best way.

The drinks are outstanding. We had a gin “smoothie” where you genuinely couldn’t taste the gin (which makes it extremely dangerous), and a blue cheese martini that was shockingly, perfectly balanced — savory, smooth, and totally addictive. Not pictured were several other equally delicious cocktails that disappeared way too fast.

Even the snacks were excellent — thoughtful and elevated, not just an afterthought.

If you’re looking for a bar in DC that feels fun, inventive, and memorable, Silver Lyan is it. Already planning our next visit.

Unique decor, innovative menu, intimate low lighting digs! The food menu is really interesting and the cocktail menu weaves a story. By far the most impressive item to me was the Aperol spritz Jell-O shots which come in an orange wedge and served with prosecco. Great date spot or to hang with friends!

A cozy, upscale bar with a speakeasy-esque vibe to it; being a level down and adorned with a vault door. The cocktail options are amazing, with each one telling their own unique story. If you feel like you may be overwhelmed by their options, lean on your server as we were fortunate enough to have Jalal who was very knowledgeable and able to curate drinks based off of our palettes. The snack options were also very tasty light bites, perfect for pre/post dinner (especially great aperitif to Moon Rabbit across the street.)

Great experience at Lynn. They have a selection of really creative cocktails and more classic ones. Bartenders as well as waiters/waitress are all very knowledgeable and gladly give you advice on drinks. Highly recommend to try!

usually not too bad of a wait. drinks are creative and fun while not being outrageously priced ++ cute ambiance! and i asked – they do have a fair amount of alcohol in them so it’s not scammy (some drinks do indeed have 3/4 ice). the service is exceptional – i find the staff kind and informed of their cocktails. also snacks are good (had the haloumi fries)

the bar was very secluded from the rest of the hotel which already set the atmosphere to be intimate and mysterious. i loved that the only light source surrounding us was the small table lamp. the chairs were very comfortable and we did get separate puffs for our bags which was very nice. our waitress (i unfortunately forgot her name) was so friendly and at the end of the night i felt like she new our style of cocktails to the point. my favorite drink was actually the one the waitress surprised us with at the end- „75 it’s alive” was the name i think.?.? the second place goes to the one with the flowers and the 3rd to the strawberry donut one. i wasn’t blown away by the taste of the drinks, they were ok but maybe there was too much going on and all of the flavors mixed in a way that it tasted like nothing. but ill remember the kind gesture of the staff and the taste of that drink- nice mix of champagne, tequila and maraschino cherries. pretzel bites were awesome and definitely homemade. but once again i wanna say that our waitress made the night so 2 stars are because of her, 1 for the drinks and 1 for the pretzel bites!
oh but please change the music- it didn’t match the vibe of the bar at all. maybe play some berlioz next time :))

Nice schmancy speakeasy in Hotel Riggs. Great atmosphere with beautiful decor providing a perfect spot for a date night or to grab a few drinks with friends. Music was a little loud so bear that in mind if you are considering this spot for a first date. However, their artisan cocktails and intriguing synopsis for each cocktail is a fun and easy convo starter to keep a great time going. The rest is on you haha. It’s a small spot as many speakeasies are so it would be wise to reserve a table before showing up. This place tends to stay super busy and you don’t want to miss this great experience.

Was back in the area and decided to stop by again. Of course there was a wait which is understandable but I don’t think there ever should be a need for reservation at the bar proper. That should always be first come first serve. Just my opinion. Just get reservations in advance cus you are not going to enjoy yourself until you are seated. Super nice staff. Definitely professional. Anyways, super busy as always. Drinks were unique which I think is where they shine. They definitely have fun with their concoctions. But honestly, all their drinks are way too sweet. Unfortunately the whole area in the lower level reeks of some malodorous scent. I remember that scent from other times I have been here and thought they may have gotten carried away in the kitchen or something but no it’s there every single time I have been here. Not sure what it is but it’s not pleasant and kinda funny how everyone is frolicking around and enjoying life as if no one smells it. Stop being a follower and call it how it is. Someone in a command position needs to get on that most rikki tik. From all my past experiences here I think this is a great spot but definitely feels like it’s teetering on becoming a gimmicky spot and losing a little bit of the quality in the atmosphere. Maybe they need a hard reset. Streamline their seating process so everyone can enjoy it and not just the ones collecting the overhead. Address the elephant in the room and get some air fresheners or something lol. For the prices here they need to be on it all the time.

We were excited to get a table for 2 without a reservation on a Friday evening with only a short wait! Drinks were fantastic – creative, nice variety, well-prepared, and solid recommendations from our server. Multiple wait staff helped us out and were very attentive. Just did cocktails but would return for small bites! Definitely would recommend!
