A spread inspired by the grand kitchen tables on the farms of Southern Brazil where family and friends gather to share the finest and freshest from their harvests. We bring you seasonal salads, irresistibly fresh vegetables, imported meats and cheeses, artisan breads and more. The style of cooking is called churrasco, a Portuguese word that simply means grilled beef or grilled meats in general. You can expect anywhere from 10 to more than 15 different cuts of meat offered.

The “Value” for Money:
They charged £60 per person for a set menu, plus an undisclosed 10% service charge that was never mentioned during the booking. For £132 total, you’d expect a feast. Instead, we got a “shared” experience that felt more like rations.
The food was shockingly poor quality. We were served:
A basic salad of just lettuce and tomatoes.
Burned chips.
Dry rice.
The “Shared” Dessert Insult:
For the price, you’d expect individual desserts. Instead, they brought out one plate to share containing:
1 single scoop of ice cream.
1 small piece of cheesecake.
4 chocolate balls.
The seating was incredibly tight—clearly an attempt to cram in as many couples as possible to maximize profit over comfort.
Save your money and go literally anywhere else. This was a greedy, poorly executed excuse for a “romantic” dinner.
Will 100% be going back on the regular.
The rodizio dining experience was a real highlight of the evening. The selection of meats was excellent, all cooked to perfection and served continuously throughout the night, with a great variety to suit everyone. The quality, flavor, and generosity of the servings made it feel like a real treat and something a little different from the usual Christmas party meal. The accompanying sides were equally impressive and complemented the meats perfectly.
The cocktails were another standout — expertly made, well balanced, and thoroughly enjoyed by the whole team. Combined with the Brazilian-themed décor, music, and entertainment, the whole experience felt immersive, fun, and genuinely memorable.
The staff were fantastic throughout the evening: friendly, attentive, and extremely well organised, especially considering we were a larger group. Everything ran smoothly, nothing felt rushed, and any requests were handled promptly and professionally, which really added to the overall enjoyment of the night.
Overall, Lost in Rio Plymouth delivered a brilliant rodizio dining experience and an unforgettable staff Christmas party. It’s an excellent venue for group celebrations and special occasions, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We’ll certainly be returning in the future.
I’ve been wanting to go back for a while and I finally managed to do it on Saturday night but I ended up really regretting it. The service is great, the staff is really nice and friendly but the food was horrible! I ordered the feijoada and my partner order the vegetarian feijoada. Of course, being Brazilian I know exactly how feijoada tastes like and that was not it. It was tasteless, the beans were hard and there was barely any meat in it. His vegetarian feijoada had no sauce at all, it was just dry black beans with carrots and green beans, which is totally different from what he had last time for some reason. The chips were also really mushy and hard to swallow. He said it was the worst food he’s ever eaten in a restaurant and that upsets me, for it being a Brazilian restaurant, for it being my culture but unfortunately I have to agree with him.
Apart from that, the music was quite loud although it didn’t bother me that much, it was just really hard to talk, mostly because we were there for a meal, not to party.
I feel bad writing this because the first time I’ve been there was great – which was in August 2025 – but I drove 2h to get there and back to be quite disappointed. Not sure if the chef has changed or something happened but I don’t think I will going back there unfortunately.
