Few things that I would do, is to add mirrors on the walls, and dim the lights as the sun sets accordingly.
Food was delicious, waiter was very knowledgeable and knew what to recommend. He was very attentive and food came in a timely manner.
Menu: Lots of items to choose from and nice diversity.
Beet salad: BIG portion which is good, taste very fresh, balanced and zesty.
Roasted beef brisket: Meat is cooked to perfection, very tender, texture is soft, marination was absolutely savory. The combination of asparagus, mushrooms and mashed Potatoes compliments the meat. I would add carrots to give the plate some color.
Desserts: Chocolate cake was really soft, icing was very balanced and not too sugary. The latte was amazing, creamy and nicely presented.
I would definitely go back and visit.
Highly recommended
I was greeted by friendly and accommodating staff and decided to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. The manager, Mauricio, asked if I had dined with them before. I said no and he explained some of the restaurant’s concepts.
I started with the appetizer that caught my attention from the website – Veracruzana Style Fresh Sea Bass Ceviche and also ordered The Baja Style Lobster Taco. The ceviche was a very generous portion of Sea Bass served with avocado and tostados. It came with a spoon which you will definitely want to use to capture every savory bite.
The Lobster Taco was overflowing with lobster chunks, saffron rice, black beans, avocado and creamy chipotle plus a spicy tart salsa to top it off.
The craftsman bartender, Miguel, was hard at work making fantastic beverages. I had the Smokey Guava -mezcal, guava nectar, lime & grapefruit juice, agave nectar & chia. It was exquisite! All of their juices are fresh squeezed…
My entree was the Homemade Mole Poblano – smothered shredded chicken in the best mole that I have had since visiting deep interior Mexico decades ago. I have been searching for great mole ever since and they have all fallen short until now. Served with almond rice – almond slices not slivers.
Overall the service and the food were perfect. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Vegetarian options are available as well.
The casual atmosphere is a welcome change for a fine dining experience!
• RECOMMENDATION: The barbacoa torta.
• SERVICE: Fast and always super friendly.
• BAD: I didn’t saw anything bad to stand out. Can’t complain about that.
• PRICE: Fair. I was expecting to be more expensive because of the quality of the food and taste.
I would definitely go back.
