We love China Star. When my wife was pregnant we would go 8 or 10 times a month. Got to know Mae a little bit and now she goes out of her way to come talk and see our toddler. The food is great and usually a packed house early evening.

We ordered chicken/shrimp fried rice with EXTRA EGG, along with some other items for carry out. The fried rice was delicious, however, we asked for and paid for EXTRA EGG and it had almost NO EGG at all! We won’t make that mistake again!

Came in for the first time for takeout buffet. To-go plates are very small compared to other places that charge the same price for a larger plate. Food selection is decent, despite only 2 bars being hot food. Everything I grabbed was absolutely delicious, except the sweet and sour sauce, which had a chemical taste to it.

China Star is taking precautions concerning covid-19. Only one customer allowed in the breezeway to order. Employee is separated by customer by a solid plastic barrier. They are open until 8pm.

They charge $17 for their meal which is about four pans of leftovers from three days ago. Their food is really poor. Drive to Evansville to get food at least he Crazy Buffet. It costs a lot less and has a wide choice of foods and is good and well worth the drive.
