For my birthday a friend and I recently dined at Seapot in DC for Korean hot-pot on a wed early evening, and the experience was impressive. The quality of the food truly stood out; the food was fresh, the broth, I chose *Thai pot* had a rich, deep savory and tangy flavor that was perfectly spiced. Every ingredient tasted high-quality and well prepared. The all you can eat food bar had a very yummy variety of salads, kimchees, egg rolls, sesame balls, fruits and sauces!
Beyond the delicious food, the customer service was excellent. The staff were attentive, especially our server! He was friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience as he constantly ck’d to make sure we had everything we needed, I’m embarrassed to say I dont remember his name. It was my first time there and the menu was a step-by-step that was slightly overwhelming and our server was so helpful and patient. All of his recommendations were spot-on. He made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The establishment was clean and well kept from the dining utensils to the restroom. Also we waited less than 5 min to be seated for the 2 of us and our food was served in no time!
It’s rare to find a place that excels in cuisine hospitality, cleanliness and reasonable prices, but this restaurant managed it perfectly. I will definitely be returning soon to enjoy another wonderful meal. Thank you Seapot staff for a exceptional experience ❤️

All around delicious and no wait for dinner in the evening on a weekday. I took my picky dad to dinner and he loved it! If youre looking for an all encompassing experience, look no further. They also have a bar and nice table setup like a waiting area for parties waiting for a table. Good place to watch sports as well!

My partner and I were craving hot pot. This place has been on our list for a while and decided to give it a try for date night. Parking is plentiful and free. We thought the wait was going to be long, something to be expected on a Saturday night, but was surprised when we received a text not even a minute after putting our names on the wait list. The table was not going to be on the conveyor line, which we were completely happy with because my partner got a really good view of the giant screen to watch the game. Everything all-around was great – food, service, and atmosphere. Our only critique was that the large beer claimed to be 30+ ounces but the glass it was served in was maybe 20 pinches (I used my water bottle to compare). Other than that, it was a pretty good meal and our server was great.

We visited Seapot in Daly City for a lunch with a group of 7 and had an absolutely fantastic time! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and delicious.

The Korean hot pot concept here is so much fun. Everyone gets to choose their own broth and create their own perfect meal from the incredible conveyor belt of goodies. The variety is amazing—from fresh meats and seafood to a huge selection of veggies, dumplings, and noodles. The quality of everything, especially the thinly sliced meats, was top-notch.

Seapot is the ideal place for a group gathering. It’s lively, interactive, and caters to everyone’s taste preferences. We left completely satisfied and already planning our next visit.

The best place to have an Asian cuisine family. My sister had my niece’s party there and it was nice. They set up for the bowls of soup, had hot pots for each soup to cook and then cooked meat on the grill at the table. Family style dinner. Keoako had lots of fun with the family you can bring your own cakes in there too and we had a private room too there they have a bar area and they have seating to have your food around other rooms that are private and nice out side in the dining area loud

I have finally made a visit here, I use to frequent the San Mateo Sepot all the time when I am craving for hot pot. This place is a plus, since it’s located in a foggy area and good for local. Upon arrival, they just opened for lunch and luckily I was seated immediately. You can choose hot pot, Korean barbecue or both. Their menu consists different soup bases, regular meats, premium Australian wagyu, drinks, etc. Other things such as vegetables, meatballs, seafood, noodles, side dishes, etc are layed out on the rotating conveyor. The staffs were welcoming, well trained and understanding. There was a bit of wait for the orders, but I did not mind since I am a very patient person and the quality of the meats was above average. Friendly reminder, there is a 90 minute limit eating period, but the staffs are very nice about it and will remind you. I highly recommend this place to all hot pot enthusiasts, to anyone looking for a laid back spot or just happen to be in the area and want to try something new. I definitely will be back.

Waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. Overall experience is positive, with the conveyor belts got stuck quite a few times. The grill and hotpot all uses electricity instead of gas, and overall it’s a good experience. The server was courteous and clear to check on us multiple times throughout the meal. However, no refill offered for soup and water towards the latter part of the meal. Also, 2nd round of beef and lamb was notably not the same quality as the 1st round.

If you’re willing to spurge a bit, get the waygu upgrade. It’s worth it for $10 more. Love the sauce bar, you can make your own concoction. My kid loves seeing the conveyer belt of sides and trying different items everytime. Sometimes I wish they were labeled but it makes it kind of fun. I guess if you had allergies you should be careful since they’re not labeled on the conveyer belt.

First time at this place, pretty good quality of meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits. Many different kinds of sauces to choose from at the bar. The house spicy soup base is very spicy so if you don’t love very spicy soup, be careful. We had both hotpot and bbq and both were delicious and the price was very reasonable. There’s 1.5 hour time limit but I guess no people waiting, so they didn’t rush us (we were in a private room-there’s karaoke in the room, too for extra charge, I think but we didn’t use it). All in all, it’s a fun place to eat with family and friends.

My absolute favorite hotpot and kbbq restaurant in the bay! The parking lot is always full, but there’s usually a spot or two so it’s not too bad. I hosted my baby’s 100 day party there this past weekend and the manager, Ravi, was super responsive and helpful with the process. I booked a private room, which was very spacious and feeds 28 people (pot per person) and 8 tables outside. A deposit was collected to secure the room. The room already had a backdrop prepared and enough space for more than 40 people to chill at. The air conditioner wasn’t very effective though so the room got pretty hot with all the people and pots running. Some of the waiters were slow for a couple of our tables outside. Edmund covered the private room and a couple of the tables outside the room and he was on top of it.
I have eaten at Seapot several times and the service is always friendly. The food quality is great, the sauce bar has plenty of choices along with side dishes and the conveyor belt makes it super convenient to eat while waiting for the meats to arrive. The wait time is shorter when you come during off hours, so unless you have a party of 6+, which is the minimum for a reservation, I suggest you come an hour earlier to have a somewhat shorter wait time. Sometimes you can put your name down on Yelp, but there’s a small window for it and it could still be a 123+minute wait. I have been here at 11:30am, 3pm and 5pm before with a waittime of 5-10minutes and I have also been here around noon and 6-7pm and waited over two hours for a seat. Either way, the food is worth and you’ll get a text before your table is ready so you can walk around the area. I had enough time to walk to Dave and Busters one time because I didn’t want to lose my parking spot. Definitely check Seapot out!
